9/11 victims have the right to die like the rest of us when it happens to us.

Dying in an act of terrorism is "at will". Anyone of us can die in an act of terrorism.

Remember that dying for your country is to live!!

Back to the lawyers.

I hear John Edwards will be available to start chasing ambulances again on Nov. 3.

John Kerry for one.

OK. He's the most dangerous of them, but what would you like to see done about the rest. How about the open borders? Not everyone who sees this problems is a Bush hater. The border problem is both series and hugh. (OK, I can be silly, too, but only so far. I want to keep my country American and my people alive.)

Speaking of Lawyers:

PORTLAND - The Portland lawyer falsely accused of involvement in the Madrid terrorist bombings is suing the U.S. government.
Brandon Mayfield got a rare apology from the FBI after his release from two weeks of detention.
He's hired Gerry Spence, a well-known celebrity defense lawyer, to represent him.
Spence says the specific charges against the government will be revealed later.
Spence has successfully represented former Philippines first lady Imelda Marcos and plutonium factory worker Karen Silkwood.
Mayfield was arrested by FBI agents on May 6th after his fingerprint was incorrectly matched to ones found on a bag of detonators near a Madrid train station.
The March 11th train bombings in Spain killed 191 people and injured about two thousand more.

Gosh, that's right. PETA will worry about the big lizards getting their 100% nutritional needs met.

Oh dear. How ever will we supplement their diet?

I think I posted my recomendations somewhere above. Start by getting thousands and thousands of citizens in every congressional district in every state of the union to assemble and visit their congressional representatives enmasse with petions in hand demanding they enact laws regulating immigration and demanding steps are taken to enforce existing laws. If we can't do that as a minimum, nothing else should be expected to happen.

Wow, this is some thread. Besides alligators or flaming moats, I haven't seen any constructive solutions to the problem outlined in the article.

I hope that my life returns to "normal" here in the very near future. I'm looking towards 2006 and 2008, but for now have to take care of business. We should all put our heads together after the election and discuss candidates who share our views on illegal immigration and securing the border.

One out of ten US marines have been forced to fill in a survey asking if they'd fire on U.S. citizens. It's coming. Lay in the spam, man.

If I remember correctly, I read about that way back in the days when we could post sound files here LOL. Perhaps around '96 or a bit later in '97 at the latest. It may have been around sooner, but I think I picked up on it here around that time. Maybe it's in the musty archives Jim. As I remember it there was a lot of material posted about that.

I think that Joseph Farah or NewsMax (before it was NewsMax -- I forget the fellow's name that's the honcho over there -- it's late and I'm lazy) also picked up on it as I seem to remember one of them, or both, on Putnam's or Briem's program talking about it.

Wasn't it a classified survey given to the Marines at Twenty-Nine Palms posing a hypothetical question of if, when the citizens were ordered to surrender their arms and they didn't or they were verging on "rebellion", would the service man fire upon the citizens? (OK poor grammar -- sorry but I think you get the drift). Dornan apparently asked either the Marines and/or Navy about the survey and the results and was told they were "classified."

That is if my memory serves me correctly.

The problem of illegals in the US is due to the deplorable socio-economic problems that exist in their home countries. Until those governments reform and remedy the situation their people will flee. When Vincente Fox was elected, I thought Mexico would have changed for the better for its populace; news & records have disappointed me. The US can't keep up with regime changes but changing the mindset of the Mexican politicians ought to be a priority.

Did you read the article, or simply skim it? If you read the article, under which shrub did you find any truth?

Oh I forgot to mention -- I think the survey that Dornan was referring to was given in 1994. A previous poster (now that I'm catching up in reading) mentioned an earlier survey, but the one Dornan was briging to light was in 1994 ... I'm almost certain of it.

There is truth in the article, my friend. Please don't let your anger over a few crass lines poison your consideration of the larger issue.

The borders are a problem.

Terrorist cells in this country are a problem.

Oh, he will. He'll grant amnesty.
