Well, we see how chummy he was with Fulbright. And he looks like a dork even in 1971.
I personally think that the dorks had some kind of magic potion in the 70's. How else can we explain the success of Dustin Hoffman, Jimmy Carter, Peter Maax, and Alan Alda?
