sKerry's actions have brought dishonor on all vets who were tarred with his brush; but don't forget that was the intent, AND that is the true feeling of most on the left.
Our prayers are with you and your son. Just saying "thanks" isn't quite enough.

(4 mos in VN + 527 $ out the wazoo + 1 bn from Mama T + 3 self-inflicted PH = Kerry is still a JOKE!)

Gee, how the heck do they figure to win when all they're running on is Kerrys' Nam service coupled with vitriol and hatred for Bush and tax cuts.
I would think it turns everyone off except for the hard core Bush hating dems.

Thanks for the ping, Pokey. They must bronze his typewriter PC when he hangs up his keyboard.

Yes, Steyn really hits the mark on this one. He's got a talent for writing, for sure.

I don't remember sKerry ever apologizing. Do you have a source?

Of course that sort of statement would take character and we all can see that he is seriously lacking in anything resembling true character. Further, if sKerry had the character to make such a statement, he would realize how inappropriate it would be to run for President and Commander-in-Chief.

In his Senate testimony, Kerry stated the "THOUSANDS" of others had committed atrocities. Thats a far cry from 61. sKerry must be in charge of counting the homos, too. That's got to be how they are 10% of the population.

I would also like to see it mentioned that being in charge of 5 sailors on a small boat does not exactly mean you have outstanding leadership credentials. Steyn did point out that sKerry lacked followers and that meant he had no leadership.

though the Kerry campaign, in its second big concession to his chastisers, now says his first Purple Heart-earning wound might have been unintentionally self-inflicted IS THIS TRUE????? I have not heard this but if it's true it is VERY BIG. It means he has to give it back. You can't earn a purple heart from a self inflicted wound, even an accidental one. It also means he has been lying about it all along (like we didn't know that).

Re;"MSM".
What Rumsfield said about Europe, I like to think of the media. I call them OLD MEDIA
Nothing a leftist hates worse than not being thought of as young, hip, with-it, cool. OLD MEDIA also implies being past their time, plus the Rumsfield connection which must drive them nuts, and it's puts them in the same toilet bowl with France and Germany.

Oh, I agree that he made a comment about lack of followers, but that seems to indicate those who are following him now.
I would have liked to see smoething more like:
The Navy saw fit to put him in charge of a small boat with a group of about five sailors for a month or two. That was as high a responsibility he ever attained in the Navy. That is not what the Navy does with outstanding leaders. It appears that sKerry failed the test of leadership, in the eyes of the Navy.

Yeah, but he probably spent more time in country in Vietnam during those four months than he has spent on the floor of the Senate doing his job during the twenty years.

The Kerry campaigns bumbling ineptness this last month is a bit of a stunner to those of us who followed Bill Clinton for eight years. The Democrats may not know how to run a school district or a highway department, but theyre supposed to be able to run scandals. I LOVE Mark Steyn!

This has been floating around for a bit. Evidently the doctor in the case says a tiny metal fragment removed from Kerry's arm wasn't consistent with his story of having been shot at. But it was apparently nicely consistent with Kerry's having failed to get out of the way of flying debris from his own mortar shot.
