American Life League's Crusade for the Defense of Our Catholic Church will be sponsoring two important Pro-Life Protests on Monday and Tuesday of next week during the Republican National Convention
The first one is a protest of Planned Parenthood's Republicans for Choice "Big Tent" Extravaganza on Monday August 30th, 2004, at 7:30 PM at the Beacon Theatre. 2124 Broadway, 74th Street & Broadway, New York City.
The other protest is Tuesday Aug. 31st starting at 5:30 pm. Another "Big Tent" deal. The Republican Big Tent Celebration is a gathering of pro-abort Republicans at The Sky Club - 200 Park Ave., 56th Fl. at 45th between Vanderbilt and Lexington. We will be gathering at the Vanderbilt entrance. I will have signs & T-Shirts available.

If we're going to attend just one, do you have a recommendation? New York is just an an hour and a half Amtrak away from Philly, but I don't think my blood pressure could take more than one trip.
The RNCLife event at Tavern on the Green is the loveliest one, but it is $125.
Be aware...the pro-abortion event on Tues Aug 31 at the Sky Club STARTS at 5:30 PM and runs until 7:30 PM, according to the invitation.
Your protest was to start at 5:45...so you may want to move it up a bit.

I'm not so interested in hobnobbing with other pro-life conservatives. I'd rather give a public witness, if possible. In Philly for the 2000 convention, we had a life chain that stretched up and down the Parkway down past the convention center. Each of us held the same sign - Abortion Kills Children. It was a very powerful witness. (Of course, with the MSM blackout the only press we got was a brief, though positive, mention by Police Commissioner Timoney on Larry King). Is there anything like that?
I would go for one of the counterprotests to the "Big Tent" functions. The one at the black-tie event maybe. We will almost certainly confront some pro-aborts at that: Vanderbilt Avenue entrance to the Met Life Building, August 31, at 5:15. The other one that sounds like your kind of event would be the one outside the Beacon Theatre, on Broadway on the Upper West Side. (Vanderbilt Avenue is the street on the west side of Grand Central Terminal.)
