DID THE DOG GO INTO CAMBODIA? DID THE DOG BARK AT THE CIA MAN, THUS PROMPTING THE CIA MAN TO GIVE KERRY THE HAT? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DOG?
This Washington Times story by John McCaslin raises a host of new questiosn for John Kerry:
"VC surfaces A new four-legged angle -- actually a dog named "VC" -- has suddenly materialized surrounding Sen. John Kerry 's swift boat service in Vietnam.
In a 2004 presidential candidate questionnaire for Humane USA, Mr. Kerry was asked whether any pets have had an impact on his life.
"I have always had pets in my life, and there are a few that I remember very fondly," Mr. Kerry replied. "When I was serving on a Swift Boat in Vietnam, my crewmates and I had a dog we called VC.
"One day as our Swift Boat was heading up a river, a mine exploded hard under our boat," he continued. "After picking ourselves up, we discovered VC was MIA (missing in action). Several minutes of frantic search followed, after which we thought we'd lost him. We were relieved when another boat called asking if we were missing a dog."
Said Mr. Kerry: "It turns out VC was catapulted from the deck of our boat and landed, confused but unhurt, on the deck of another boat in our patrol."
J.J. Scheele, program director of Humane USA, confirmed yesterday that her organization did, in fact, receive the above statement from the Kerry campaign.
No military records on Mr. Kerry's Web site, which aides say is a complete accounting, mention a mine exploding under his boat or any dog. The only report of a mine detonating "near" Mr. Kerry's PCF 94 was March 13, 1969, when Mr. Kerry says he was injured and a man knocked overboard."
Why would they look for the dog if they were under fire?
I have been amusing myself collecting "when I was in VietNam" answers from Kerry whenever he is asked a question. The pet question was one. Here are a couple of others:

Though Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry says he opposes legalizing same-sex marriage, critics are pointing to the candidate's radical statements and writings in favor of homosexual marriage and claim this is one more divisive issue on which Kerry is attempting to play to both sides in an election year.
Wrote Kerry: "I knew firsthand from my tours [sic] of duty in Vietnam the bravery and distinction with which gay soldiers served their country."

"I remember well April 1968--I was serving in Vietnam--a place of violence--when the news reports brought home to me and my crewmates the violence back home--and the tragic news that one of the bullets flying that terrible spring took the life of that unabashedly maladjusted citizen."

Why isn't the press demanding to see Kerry's CIA hat?
Was the flying dog wearing the CIA hat when the mine went off and the dog landed on another ship and that's why Kerry calls it his Lucky Hat.
"yeup, s'my lucky hat. got it Nam from a VC that killed with my bare hands, no no it was from a CIA guy when I was on a top secret mission running guns to Cambodia to stir up conflict on 25 December of 1968 (of course, I cant really talk about it cause it's a secret doncha know.)
He gave it to me to remember the short but passionate love we shared knowing we might not see each other again.
Yep, giving me the lucky hat was not so lucky for him though, considering that only a few weeks later I gave away his covert operation to the enemy. Too bad for him, but it is a nice hat.
Report from the Front:
I earned my medal today. I got on DemocraticUnderground this morning with a suggestion to the DUers that they check out this flying dog whopper to see if they really wanted to vote for this lunatic.
Well, you can just imagine the reaction I got. There were cries of "your denying there were mines in Viet Nam"? and "you're denying Kerry had a dog"? No, I calmly said, I'd just like to know which swift boat vets will confirm that poor little VC flew harmlessly across an expanse of water from one moving swift boat to another. They foamed at the mouth, attacked Bush, attacked me, attacked freepers but strangly none could come up with a plausible explanation of how this happened.
I exchanged 7 or 8 calmly worded posts with them until the moderator became so frustrated he threw me off the board. My badge of honor for the day.
For if it can be determined WHEN it was taken, and IF it was taken after Kerry's wounds, wouldn't that show that the purple heart veteran had nary a scratch? Of course, I guess the timeline is that once he was 'wounded' he bugged out of the 'Nam. Just thinkin' , though.
I don't get the hair. I thought military had to have military haircuts.
I have a feeling V.C. was made into a taco.
It always comes back to Python.
I cheated and Googled it.
Here is a link to the questionairre filled out by Kerry. Its on the Humane Society Website and was provided by the Kerry Campaign.
He can't hide from this one:

OK...now I am confused. I thought Kerry was the lap-dog of the VC????
It's a bird, It's a plane, It's Superdog!
LOL.........wasn't there a cartoon character that told tall tales like that?
What was the hamster's name....Uncle Ho?
Max Clelland and Jim Rasmussen must be paid employees of the Kerry campaign to make the expensive trip to Crawford, TX.
Kind of pathetic to see two grown men whining on behalf of their "great leader and glorious hero of the Socialist people" who said to GWB: "bring it on."
No Silver Star for you, mud puppy. You've tracked dirt into our living room.
But seriously, I would have tried being more subtle, and suggested this story needs to be vetted before the evildoers at FR get wind of it.
I don't go to DU. I'm not sure my firewall is strong enough to resist all the cooties.
I remember well April 1968--I was serving in Vietnam--a place of violence--when the news reports brought home to me and my crewmates the violence back home--and the tragic news that one of the bullets flying that terrible spring took the life of that unabashedly maladjusted citizen.
In fact, Kerry did not go to Vietnam until November 1968.
My God! When it comes to lying, this guy makes Clinton look like a piker!
One question - was Kerry on that destroyer in April 1968?
He considers that Vietnam service. His first tour, in fact.
Seriously - do those who should know consider that type of service "serving in Vietnam?"
This story was first approached about half a month ago.
