Doctored photo on JohnKerry.com? (Vanity)

A photo appears on JohnKerry.com (and was reprinted in the Washington Post) that shows clear signs of having been clumsily doctored. Has this come up before?
Most obviously, look under Kerry's armpits. Clear sky below, blue water above. A complete novice to Photoshop could've done a better job. There are other signs of doctoring, too.
Why has nobody called Kerry on this?

Been examined, nothing wrong.Please explain... or better yet, link to prior discussion. I haven't seen this before, and if there's nothing wrong with it, I'd like to know. Is that part of the boat under his armpits? Is there a picture of a boat without someone standing in front of that part of it so I can see what it normally looks like?

Yes, it seems like the word "Shadows" was in the title.....maybe just "Shadow" Looking at the faces and the side where the light is coming from.
