Per Foxnews Alert. Into the red sea.
60 people aboard the first one.
Police inspect the site of a bomb blast near a bus stop in Moscow, August 24, 2004. The blast originated from a device planted near a bus stop and injured at least 3 people according to city police
Agreed. Here's a map from an earlier post.
Really? Now that makes some sense. I used to play some wargame simulations back in the day. A lot of them were very complicated. I suppose a system could be played via e-mail or the like. Have you ever seen a game with commands, instructions, or whatever similar to this? I would if I was a terrorist I would grab something off the shelf, and adapt it to my purpose.
Not necessarily.
I've got a fair amount of experience in this area (B-52's, a long time ago). A plane flying at low level is very hard to spot on radar, especially if it follows the right route. Even if flying high enough to be painted by radar, the typical ground control radar would not necessarily spot it.
An AWACS could spot it, but only if one was in the air and in the right place.
However, a plane flying at low altitude will use a lot more fuel than it would flying at a higher altitude. Hence it is likely to have MUCH less range than you would otherwise expect.
Possible. The pilot should have tried for an immediate airfield if he was still in control.
Ha, LMAO! Anyway, it was a cool pic.
some event happened on both planes 24 minutes after take -off - somehow the other plane continued to fly for another two hours or so
ping
Oh sure!
Flight 1303: Departed 22:20
Flight 1047: Deaprted 21:25
That Washington Post is wrong.
bookmarking weird shiite!
Sounds like a hijack situation at least in the second case.
IMHO it would not hurt for the Swiftvet story to take a breather. It is starting to sound repetitive and needs to be on the back burner for a while.
That would account for the difference. Thank you.
YOU ROCK !
so at 850 km/hr one flew 500 km and the other 1300 km before vanishing.
Great question!! We got a long way into this thread before someone caught that!!
It will be very interesting to see how Russia handles its Muslim terrorism problem. No kid gloves and worry about 'cultural feelings', I suspect.
Based on your data here, am I calculating that there was exactly a 24 minute difference on both planes between takeoffs and loss of signals?
What does the # 24 mean to the AQ and BL?
PS- According to the maps shown, they didn't fly opposite directions.
