Galante accusing Kerry of aiding and abetting enemy.
I'll take door number two, Monty.
And you win the Westinghouse Washer and Drier combo!
Congratulations!
No convertible? What a rip!
The minute I heard Kerry say 'Ghenghis Khan' from that tape the other day, I had the same reaction. I'd never heard anyone every pronounce it like that. You don't forget a thing like that. Galanti's telling the truth. On one level it's so obvious that Kerry took a fool's gamble running on his war record. On another, well, why not? He's gotten what he went after all his life, including two rich women...why not the Presidency? Besides, the Swift Boat Vets had been silent all these years...and if one or two said anything, surely TerAYsa would buy them off. (She did say she'd buy the Presidency for him if all else failed and the republicans tried any dirty tricks.) They deserve each other. The only thing more amusing than watching Kerry implode and instantly become irrelevant would be if she lost all her money and he walked out on her...or if she got tired of supporting him and threw him out.
Two million Cambodians were slaughtered, and then there were the boat people from Cambodia. I don't know exact numbers of South Vietnamese murdered after the war ended, but surely that number is out there.
That statistic should be stamped on Kerry's forehead. 14000 dead Americans, thanks to Kerry.
Kerry lost his soul many years ago. On a lighter note, though, it would be interesting if we had a mole in RAT headquarters...are they downing koolaid yet? It seems so, since Kerry's begging Hill and probably Bill, too, to save his ass during the republican convention.
Devastating photo. Kerry had no moral integrity back then and hasn't gained any since.
Otherwise, great letter! (The freepers who gave advice on what editorial page editors look for are probably worth listening to.)
Good luck with it! And let us know.
Apparently, you made the mistake of not bringing a media cameraman. Liveshot doesn't bother with his "man of the people" persona (or anything else) unless he can get some mileage out of it!
What???? He was a reservist who didn't show up for drills??? You can be a draft-dodger, you can be a traitor -- but not to show up for reserve duty is apparently the unforgivable sin. Why has no one told the media?
You mean "Jenjis Khan?"
Ugh.
Drives me up a wall!
The effete poseur.
You mean gingivitis?
Haven't heard his parents mentioned as alive, but he does have one brother, Cameron, a lawyer with a big firm in Boston (Mintz, Levin, I think). Cameron converted to Judaism when he married. I gather his brother is supporting him, but I haven't seen any coverage of specifics.
I don't recall hearing of him losing, either. Are all those suits just floating aroundin limbo?
I do seem to recall there was one suit he filed about Clinton that did bring out some useful information. Don't recall the details though.
You're quite welcome. It seems my post rattled the cage of another FReeper who saw fit to freepmail me a bit of a tongue-lashing on the spelling errors it contained. Perhaps whenever I post after a six hour road trip including a days work I should remember to hit that spell-check button.
I had just read the chapter on the KGB in "Unfit" and remain both fascinated and incensed at the information. I'm glad you appreciated the information wagglebee.
getitright, are the Spelling Police out of bed yet this morning?

I mist certainly do know who Tom Hayden is. What I did not know was that he was in Hanoi. I have to suppose that he felt confident that no soldier in whose face he spit was not in a position to respond. Otherwise, we wouldn't have had to put up with him for the next how many years. He'd have been left in a puddle, that little piece of c@#$.
It didn't really hit home for me until I saw the 2cd ad with Paul Galanti. I know him and was at USNA where he was my battalion officer. I remember him as a man of absolute sterling character.
In one of my leadership classes, we were shown film clips of the POW's. One clip was from an East German documentary. The North Vietnamese captors had "prepped" (i.e.) tortured the POW's to the point where they sat to be "interviewed" by these "journalists". They basically had the same spiel. They presented themselves in a passive aggressive way spewing the nonsense they were forced to say by their captors. This was also the same occasion I believe where Jim Stockdale disfigured his own face so he couldn't be shown.
Galanti's appearance was notable in that he was flipping the captors the bird the whole time during the "interview". Supposedly he told the captors that it was the "Hawaiian Good Luck" sign. Of course they found out what it really was and Galanti paid for it dearly.
I think the focus on Kerry must be on his post Vietnam experiences starting with the VVAW days. There's a thread running through his life. He's a political opportunist of the first order that has sought recklessly to weaken the Ntional Security of the US. This includes his time in the Senate which seems unwilling to talk about.
Doesn't sound like the type to buckle under whatever Kerry ("Mommy, make him stop!") can bring out.
Reorter then went on to call it the fear and smear speech. That Lurch will talk about President Bush is harming the middle class.
Ought to be something else because not even the media can turn Lurch into Abraham Lincoln.
Personally, I believe sKerry has a fairly low regard for people in general. Except if they are wealthy.
