The President met with members of his Security Council and others, at his ranch in Crawford, Texas. After the meeting, he held a press opportunity, and then provided lunch for the press and cameramen attending.
good eveenin' snugs
Sorry for ignorance but what do you mean by your "MIL" was in Europe on 911. I vividly remember that day to I cannot remember if we had FOX then or if it was CNN but I remember when I got home from work that was all that was watched on our TV that night.
MIL = mother in law ?
Well I did a lot of "educating" after that little episode! I keep much closer track of my parents and grandparents and their medical conditions and treatments now. Not the easiest since they're 700+ miles away, but we talk on the phone a lot.
I don't know if it's their generation or brung-ups or what, but they never want to "bother" their dr. I can just hear my mom, "Dr., I'm so sorry to bother you but there is blood spurting out of the stump where my arm used to be. I could probably wait till tomorrow to come in if that would be more convenient for you . . . " :-) She's the sweetest lady, but a little TOO considerate at times.
I must eat something lest I faint from hunger, . . . but will be back later.
Yes, MIL is Mother-in-law.
Can't have you fainting from hunger to eat not a good advertisement for a nurse. I am signing off now and taking dog out feed pigeons and parents. Will be back up probably in about hour and half.
Love to all God Bless
I'll let you know! :o)
Howdy!
You'd think that as his daughter you should be informed?
It had to be horrible for your MIL to be so far away from home and family on that horrid day!
But my really favorite one is from the 2002 Olympics, when they carried in the flag that was flown at the WCT in New York and was found in the ruins of the Towers; in to the stadium at the Olympics
President Bush was there and they phoyographed him as he stood at attention with tears down his cheeks as they played the National Anthem.
It speaks volumnes!
Oh, that's quite alright!
You're a mother, too, so I understand medical nervousness...mine has been calling me several times a day since I've had this virus.
My dad is a chemist and develops meds and nutritional supplements for all kinds of illnesses, so I'm pretty well-educated on medical subjects.
As for the book-I think it's great!
Well my parents are generally in good health, and of (mostly--HAHA!) sound mind so you'd think they'd know better. Like I said, I keep MUCH closer track of them now.
It was pretty scary for all of us. We also had a VERY close friend who lived and worked very near the Trade Center towers. Thank God she was OK.
MIL didn't have a cell phone over there, but we faxed her. They didn't know what would happen to the rest of their tour, but they flew home on time, that next Sunday. She was totally amazed at all the security, obviously. We were sure glad to see her when she got back!
Think about this. The Senator, John Edwards, the democrat party's vice presidential candidate, gave the sitting President of the United States a chance to beg his forgiveness, and the President missed it.
Was a deadline announced for this surrender and I missed it?
Was that a Yahoo caption? If so, I am flabbergasted.
Your dad's job sounds very interesting.
Any supplement he's found for intractable liberal stupidness??? I can't believe Kerry's speech and comments today, about how he is accusing the Pres. of "scare" and "smear". It's really starting to make me mad.
I got that virus alert the other day while online - I had NO idea how it got onto my PC because I don't open executable files; it was a "ReadMe.exe" file.
Do you know how they climb into the hard drive?
