Depends on how he does it. Could be media spin.

Interesting. I'll be waiting to see what he actually says.
It occurs to me that the whole Swift Boat ad thing may well work against Bush in the long run. I could be wrong, but it's entirely possible for such a thing to harm the very candidate it's designed to support.
We'll see, I suppose.

If true, and if in context: Bush, you're a P*ssy.
The moveon.org, etc ads will continue.

The headline is actually Bush Seeks End to Independent Ads which he has done before -- but Kerry won't do it because he's in cahoots with MoveOn.org.

I heard O'Neill tell Hannity last week that even if asked by the President to drop the attacks they will continue. It's the Swifties against Kerry. Bush has nothing to do with it.

I believe he's calling for an end to all independent (527) ads...I hope I'm right.

I don't think he' mentioning Swift Boats by name, just another general call for all 527's.
I think he's tried to stay consistent on this.
To: misterrob
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could they really be that STUPID?? :(
To: misterrob; All
Everyone stay cool.
It just says he's calling for an end to Independent Ads.
He's been saying that from the start of the SBV ads but focused on the demonrat 527's.

Doesn't matter - SBVTs won't stop.

To: misterrob
Bush has repeatedly said that he condemns all the ads from independents. He's also asked Kerry to join him in doing so. But of course, Kerry only wants the SBV ads condemned.

O'Neil said yesterday, even if the president asks them to stop, they are not stopping.
