"...Majority Approves of President
"Now that we all know Kerry is more warlike than the president -- after all, he would have removed Saddam without any evidence of WMDs -- Bush's job approval in the latest Gallup poll is now at 51 percent, almost identical to Clinton's 52 percent rating in August 1996 and President Reagan's 54 percent mark in August 1984. Last week, USA Today reported that "no president who has been at or above 50 percent at this point in an election year has lost."

"I don't believe there is a 60 day restriction for 527's..."
There is, but only if they accept donations from either corporations or unions. If they don't, they can put out ads right up until the day of the election (barring the last 24 hour period, since that is the time period usually required to verify the source of any donations, which do have to be publically disclosed)
The Swiftvets have not received funds from either, and will not suffer under the 60 day prohibition.
I actually found this out today on the Swiftvet forums themselves.

The President will win bigger if he embraces the flat tax, shrinking government, and bill of rights enforcement!
God Save the Republic!
Additionally, it looks like the Pentagon has taken definitive steps to ensure that military ballots will NOT be discarded this year.
Hope it's sort of like the war on terrorism - there are things going on in the background that we don't know about, and we will win, and President Bush will win in a landslide.
Unfortunately, not true. He's sponsored approximately 320 pieces of legislation in his time in the senate. 9 of his sponsored bills were successful, 5 of which were only resolutions like "POW's That I Stepped on To Get To the Senate Remembrance Day". Kerry has sponsored only 4 pieces of successful substantive legislation in his entire term in the senate, none of it significant.
HA! GOOD!!!!!!!!!
POTUS's approval rating will increase, if not soar,
once the convention gets underway.
Just think of how the anti-war protestors will
summon-up memories of Kerry's anti-war protests.
Love it.
Right. Twelve years of nothing. What are the five that he did sponsor? Do you know?
That was David Gergen wasn't it?
No. It was some guy I have never seen before. It gave his name but I do not remember it. All I remember it saying was 'former Clinton advisor'.
If this happens, it won't be the next day...
I hope so. If it's close, it's going to be ugly.
the Swifties are said to have a 28 minute documentary in the can for release in October.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned (is it even possible that I am the first) is that the Swiftvets each have military records that can be released as needed. Among these records might be evidence that Kerry wrote the medal citations, or that the citations were drawn directly from Kerry's reports. This info has been dribbling in, but perhaps there's definitive stuff available, regardless of whether Kerry signs the 180.
