It's a biased article, since we have to excerpt, I only quoted the parts I liked -- that the Bush campaign is not sitting still and is responding to Kerry.

Kerry is the one who is smearing Bush, by claiming that the Bush campaign is connected to the SwiftVets. Kerry is the one who should aplogize and stop lying.

What is the rule in CFR about halting the campaigning by some 60 days before the election? Will this hamper the switboat boys? Hope not.

"John Kerry's campaign is the only campaign that has questioned anybody's service during the Vietnam War," Bush campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt said.

That's a great quote! I'd love to see it used in commercials.

Note: my saying that does not constitute a "coordination" of political strategy.

" "John Kerry's campaign is the only campaign that has questioned anybody's service during the Vietnam War," Bush campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt said."

How true.

" Gore Defends Home Turf As Bush Concedes Mistakes"
AP- Nov 5, 2000

"The Nebraska senator( Bob Kerrey ) and Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, both wounded in Vietnam,
contended it's also a matter of character that Bush avoided duty oversees by joining the Texas Air National Guard."

"Those of us who were in the military wonder how it is that someone who is supposedly serving on active duty,
having taken that oath,
can miss a whole year of service without even explaining where it went," said Kerry. "

And this as reported by Carl Cameron 08/20/04 on Special Report :

" Kerry himself has repeatedly questioned the president's service,"

John Kerry on Good Morning America, April 26, 2004

" George Bush can't even answer whether or not he even showed up for duty in the National Guard."

Why doesn't the The Vietnamby Pamby himself, ask the SBVFT and the former POWs to stop being mean to him ??

Here’s a Letter to the Editor I just sent to our local rag. Feel free to copy and send to yours as well. Seems timely.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Below is a Letter to the Editor on which I would appreciate your consideration. Please call me if you have questions concerning this submission. Thank you for your consideration.

Also, should you elect to print this letter, please use my email address with my name so anyone that would like to comment may via email.

=======

Kerry Can’t Stand the Heat

Wasn't it John Kerry who recently said "Bring it on" if anyone wanted to scrutinize his often repeated exploits during and after the Vietnam War? That brings to mind a schoolboy picking a fight in a school yard and hoping the target doesn’t take him up on it.

Now, 254 of his former Swift Boat crewmates who have signed affidavits and are appearing in Television ads against him took him up on his call out. Former POWs are speaking out stating the congressional testimony John Kerry gave was fodder for the Vietnamese as they were tortured. They took Sen. Kerry up on his attempted intimidation.

Now Mr. Kerry would like them to back off. Using the same analogy he is begging for someone, anyone to make them stop. However, Kerry's actions during and upon his return from Vietnam should not be beyond reproach. His anti-war actions and allegations against veterans should not be shielded from scrutiny.

Instead of taking the “positive approach” that he said he would, Kerry (as most liberals) sees all manner of conspiracies in the opposition. President Bush on the other hand has endured a year of daily lambasting by Kerry surrogates and a willing media partner. I don’t recall President Bush once asking someone, anyone to pull them off.

As a veteran, which type of individual do I want in my foxhole?

=======

Thank you for your consideration. We enjoy and rely on your paper!

Respectfully yours,
Me

Veterans continue campaign against Kerry

I mean this is just so old. Can't they just give it up already? Can't we move on and talk about the imporatant issues like all of Kerry's new spending programs, details to be released once he is in office?

["The president needs to step to the plate, not through a spokesperson, himself, and say, ‘take down these ads,’” Sen. John Edwards said.]

Now would be a good time for a colorful mataphor from our vice president. Cheney to Edwards: "Go forth and multiply amongst yourself"

"Polls show that ad is hurting Kerry, especially among veterans."

Being one , US Navy, I can understand how the ads effect veterans. I would think regular civilians would begin to question Kerry's truthfulness when they hear the 1968 Christmas in Cambodia story. I won't repeat the whole thing here but want to point out that it has been proven to be completely false. This event has been cited by Kerry biographers as the turning point in his life. It was double seared into his memory and Kerry repeated the story over several decades, before the U.S. Senate and even worked it into a movie review he gave a Boston Newspaper.

It must really suck to realize at his age that the turning point or defining moment in your life turns out to be "false memory"

Do you want to know why John F*ckin's toast? The Bush campaign couldn't be more dead-on in point out the irony that ITS Kerry who is attacking his "band of brothers" for political gain:

"John Kerry's campaign is the only campaign that has questioned anybody's service during the Vietnam War," Bush campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt said.

This is like a dream come true. Kerry seems to have a self-destructive urge. Let him "bring it on!"

kerry is exhorting W to commit a tyrannical act of censorship because kerry's facing something that doesn't glorify him.
Now we know how *his* mind truly works.
Imagine him in the ultimate seat of power and tell me your blood doesn't run cold.

The president himself has been the target of $63 million in attack ads,

And I haven't heard Kerry denouncing them, or taking down those ads.

I predicted yesterday that the presstitutes would not be able to spike this story over the weekend, despite their desperate efforts to do so. Not only have they failed, they have added more fuel to the fire. The swift boat stories on FR today are not coming from blogs and internet sites, as they were last weekend, but from the lamestream press. True, the presstitutes are doing their best to cover up for Kerry, but it isn't working.

When the dems -- and media -- "took on" Paula Jones, et al, they took on people who really weren't very good at defending their stories. John O'Neill is a whole different animal. He's bright, honest, articulate and knows his facts.

Things are going very badly for Kerry now. There is nothing his campaign has done to put a lid on this controversy, and that goes for Kerry's blood brothers in the media as well. Even Granny Democrat who only gets her news for Dan, Peter, and Tom knows something's up.

This isn't going away, thank goodness. The spike has collapsed.

I hope that the Swift Boat Vets go full press to get Kerry's military and medical records released. They must contain a lot of ammo, by the way Kerry is protecting them.
