What is the rule in CFR about halting the campaigning by some 60 days before the election? Will this hamper the switboat boys? Hope not.

I think that the Democrats 527s have opened a loophole that one could drive a Hummer through.

Nope. I read the regs myself as well as commentary on this point. It only stops it for corporations. John O'Neill was smart enough not to incorporate SBVT. He promises something really big for October.

I think 60 days before the election, you're only allowed to give political opinions on Hardball with Chris Matthews, hold rock concerts to defeat Bush and release Fahrenheit 911 on DVD.

It won't. The 527's funded by individual contributions are god to go right up to the election. The corporate-funded and union-funded 527's have restrictions during the last 60 days prior to the election.

Aw Crap, CFR. Dangit. Dadgumit. Blazes. I'd forgotten about that Gem of Communist Legislation. That kicks in VERY soon.

Of course it just covers Radio and TV right not the internet ? I mean we are still allowed to engage in free speach here right ? ( Don't laugh its not a large leap from Radio to Internet ).
