New poll out of OH has Kerry up 2pts (47-45) -
Though from the last CNN/Gallup poll this shows a 4pt uptick for GWB who was trailing by 6pts last month -
Still the trend of continually seeing GWB in the mid-40's is disturbing - especially since the GWB team has already spent over $160 million -
It is clear the DEM 527's are hurting us hugely!! - And Rove is to much a micro-manager to have allowed for GWB supporting 527's - The ground work that needed to be put in place in 2003 -
Just wait till the convention. Kerry's numbers have been going in the right direction - DOWN!
W's gonna pull this off, I still predict a final EV count of Bush 307, Kerry 231.
i have been warning people for months about 527s and no one seems to listen i am just known as Mr doom and gloom
the fact of the matter is that if Ws numbers remain like this after the convention we are screwed
If Bush is behind in mid-Sept., consider Rove's strategy an utter failure.
The Strategic Vision poll has Bush up by 3. 4 when Nader is included.
I don't understand how these gallup polls show President Bush leading the popular vote by 3%-5% but behind in virtually every swing state. According to political experts its impossible for a candidate to win the popular vote by more that .5% and lose the electoral vote, so something isn't jiving here.
Get a grip, brother. This is far from over. Kerry has been slipping in every poll even though the polling organizations are doing everything in their power to slant the numbers. Don't buy it. The more they see Kerry, the less they like him.
A whine and Cheeeze fest?
Sheesh!
THIS is NOT GOOD news! Bush should win Ohio EASILY! WOW!
A little ray of sunshine cutting through the gloom, eh?
How about refuting this from National Review's Kerry Spot:
POLL INTERPRETATION [08/19 08:19 AM]
One way to look at this Gallup poll: Bush has gone from 10 points down in the swing states to two points down the past month, when Kerry has picked his running mate and had his convention. His lead in the "red" states has grown from five points to 19 points, and his gap in the "blue" states (good luck) is down from 19 to 16.
The Gallup headline? "Bush Consolidating Base in Core Republican States."
You need to relax. Kerry has a 2 point lead AFTER his convention and before ours. This should be very troublesome to the Kerry campaign. They were looking to sustain 5 points until the GOP convention.
Nader will not poll 3% in NOV out of Ohio - IMO - Nader won't poll more then 1.5% nationally at best -
Yup. Kerry's his worst enemy. He'll flip and flop more and more as he panders and lies and by voting time, the last minute voters will not have faith in him. It's gonna be a helluva fight though. The Rats and presstitutes are going to pull out all the stops...
Get a grip? - I never said anything about this race being over to begin with -
Secondly Kerry is not slipping in every poll - just not so - Many GWB States are still toss-ups - (OH,FL,NV,MO,WV,NH and VA) -
Maybe, but even without Nader Strategic Vision had Bush by three.
Whine and Cheeze Fest it is -- "doom and gloomers" and the "sky is falling" crowd always hit these poll posts first with their whine.
Whoever relies on polls in the age of caller ID isn't thinking very much. Not to mention Gallup polled my house and everytime I said I was a Republican they hung up. Excuse me but I put as much faith in these polls as I did in the ones saying that McBride in FL was gaining on Jeb and it was getting close. Somehow winning by over ten points doesn't seem very close to me! :)
But then the pollsters pulled the same kind of crap in 1994 when Pres Bush ran against Ma Richards -- she was up by 8 points going into the election and lost by over 5 points -- cannot remember the exact number but that was a 13 point swing. Internals are much more accurate then these media driven leftists polls people wring their hands about.
Don't 527's have to stop their ads within 60 days of the election???
I believe the FCC said no they do not.
If you get the chance go to the front page of the Detroit FreePress today - A FULL PAGE cover story covering the "terrible economy" - and a big 6.8% Unemployment number blaring out for all to see..IN BOLD print no less -
We are talking a Full page story with huge bold print - It is odd to see the story this way.....even if one just throws their politics out the window -
The Media are just starting to throw it all at GWB - (the premise on the economy needed to be set 6 months ago by the GWB team.....yet they lost the premise and now the media will not allow the public to hear anything else)
The odd thing is, Gallup has Bush doing best overall, but is one of the only polls showing him behind in Ohio.
Ohio is a swing state that leans slightly Republican. All else being equal, we'll vote for the GOP candidate, but the economy here is the culprit. Seems like very time there is a slowdown, Ohio takes longer than the rest of the nation to recover.
I am encouraging everyone I know to vote for W, but here in Akron, where Dems outnumber Republicans 4 to 1, that's a tough task.
