KERRY-TALE NO. 1 - John O'Neill is a Republican operative
===================================================
Quote from John Kerry's testimony before Congress:
I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50-caliber machine guns which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people.
That is an interesting quote. Unfortunately, it is a lie.
Kerry claims that his first Purple Heart was earned during a nighttime patrol, when his group was attempting to stop the Vietcong from transporting contraband. In Douglas Brinkley's biography of Kerry, "Tour of Duty", Kerry describes reaching into the boat to pick up another gun after his M-16 jammed. "...
==================================
Can anyone find of photo of him with an M-16?
I think the only explanation Kerry has is that he is twins.
But carrying a firearm around in a civilian setting where there is not debris that could easily enter the barrel, along with no fear of the firearm being pointed at someone, barrel down would seem fine.
That boy just ain't right. Hunting deer with a shotgun would land his butt in jail in Texas. Okay, being a flaming lib from Mass. is enough to land his butt in jail.
just doesn't seem like a very clean kill
I've never had a problem. And its a hell of a lot better than having to track the damn thing for hours sometimes when you go out with a bow. Sometimes having to call of the search because of darkness, leaving the thing to suffer and roam until death.
And using a rifle in many states and areas within states would land your butt in jail. I have 75 acres in Coventry NY (a little outside of Binghamton) and we must use shotguns. But, travel a little further north and you enter "rifle country" where you can use either a shotgun or a rifle.
And for fun, my uncle will hunt deer with a handgun sometimes!
Dang right it is not clean. You would have to get very, very close to kill a deer with a shogun. You can do it with fowl due to their size where shotgun damage can kill effectively if you are a good shot.
Lemme get this straight, NY State has shotgun only areas? Who drafted that legislation and why? In Texas, it is just a big no-no to hunt large game with a shotgun. Last time that I checked our hunting laws, we do not have any such zones where certain types of firearms are restricted for hunting purposes. On the other hand, spotlighting deer is a straight ticket to jail.
ha haaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hi,
There is a big difference between muzzle down and dragging the muzzle in the mud. A muzzle down by a security person is on dry flooring/pavement/concrete, and it NEVER hits the ground.
Notice the angle he is carrying it. It is behind him. That would destroy the forward site. If the muzzle hits the ground, it gets filled with mud and the next time he fires the weapon it will explode in his face.
Yes it does. Who drafted it? I have no idea. But as I understand it, the reason is because these areas have population centers and rifle rounds can easily carry into them where a shotgun slug is going no more than 100 yards.
A single pellet of 00 Buck (There's a reason for the name) weighs 54 grains.
Or use slugshot - 427 grains, 960 ft/sec @ 100 yds
Okay. That clears it up. How dense is the population in upstate NYC? Is there a small amount of wide open space or do hunting areas come close to populated areas?
Thanks for the tip. I have only used shotguns for dove and quail hunting. I prefer to use an 8mm Mauser, .303 Enfield, or M1 Garand for deer.
Some areas are heavily populated, others not. Once you get west of West Chester pretty much the entire state is open to hunting with the usual exception of "within city limits".
Muzzle up Muzzle down, no matter, but I never saw anyone hold their rifle by one hand and that hand on the trigger handle. It doesn't make any sense to hold that way. For purposes of credibility I spent 1 year in Vietnam, mainly as a platoon leader.
The dog is also the smartest one in the picture!
Is he praying, preying or squatting?
Entire states like New Jersey are shotgun and bow only for deer
Thanks. The only folks who I have met from NY State were from NYC or the surrounding area. I know a guy who is from NYC and is a firearms enthusiast, but he plans to vote for Kerry. My response was, "What the hell is wrong with you? Kerry is a gungrabber extraordinaire and I do not think that he is going to give a personal waiver to you while grabbing everyone else's toys."
