Over 1,000,000 Anti-War Protestors Planning to Disrupt Republican National Convention in New York

Pro-Troop Organization Set to Fight Back Against “Blame America” Crowd

[New York] -- In just three weeks, thousands of Republican delegates from around America will descend upon New York City for the 2004 Republican National Convention.

While convention delegates will announce their support for the re-election of President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, another constituency will also be making its way to New York with a very different agenda.

Anti-war organizations have been planning for several months to organize the largest anti-war rally in U.S. history. And thousands of these “Blame America First” organizers have already arrived in New York, conducting meetings on how to disrupt the Republican National Convention and sabotage the message of support for our troops and the war on terrorism.

By the time the convention starts, organizers hope to have upwards of 1 Million anti-war protestors on hand to disrupt the convention – including promises of acts of civil disobedience and violence.

The pro-troop/pro-war-on-terrorism organization, Move America Forward [website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org], has been monitoring these groups and their intentions to capture the media spotlight.

Over 15,000 members of the news media from throughout the U.S. and the world are expected to be on hand to cover the Republican National Convention, giving anti-war protestors an international audience for their message. And one can be sure the news media will be all too willing to cover the protests.

“These organizations represent the most disturbing elements of the ‘Bash America’ crowd and they clearly are determined to use these protests to attract international media coverage for the anti-war movement,” declared Move America Forward Chairman, Howard Kaloogian.

Kaloogian, a three-term Republican representative in the California legislature who also chaired the Recall Gray Davis Committee says it’s time to fight back with a message of support for our troops and the war on terrorism.

“The stakes are high for our nation and the choices we will make when it comes to fighting the terrorist threat. We cannot allow the fringe of this country to break down public support for our military and the morale of our troops the way they did during the Vietnam War.”

How Move America Forward Plans to Fight Back

Move America Forward has produced a series of television ads, with more in production, that they will begin airing in late August, during the Republican National Convention and throughout the month of September.

The ads urge Americans to stand united in support of our troops and the war on terrorism. You can view the ads at the Move America Forward website by clicking this link: http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org/?Page=AdCampaign

“We have to realize that this is a battle for the hearts and minds of the American public. And since we know the news media will be sympathetic to the message of the anti-war crowd, we will have to broadcast our message direct and unfiltered to the public through the use of television and radio commercials,” said Kaloogian.

Kaloogian says Move America Forward is on a fundraising push for the next several weeks to reach their goal of over $5 million for their national television and radio ad blitz. The group is asking for help from Americans who want to see another voice to balance the lopsided coverage from the mainstream media.

“We’ve done smaller advertising buys to date, having raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, but now the stakes are being raised and we must be ready to respond to the “Blame America First” crowd at every turn.

To make a contribution to help air these ads on national television networks, and on your local television and radio stations, visit the Move America Forward contribution page: http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org/Contribution

I was going to go the Million man march, but changed my mind at the last minute cuz that would have made it the Million and One Man march and they would have had to reprint all those T-Shirts and coffee mugs.

Newsmax headlines are notoriously inaccurate. They are not a credible news source.

Just like Chicago '68 this will boomerang on the democrats big time

The protests in Chicago weren't pro-democrat they were anti-war. In a way it worked, a new administration came in pledging to end the war. Course that was just another political lie, but hey.

Kerry Kapers Act II. Now that Iraq is being Iraqized, (as Vietnam was being Vietnamized) this is the last opportunity for the war protesters and haters of America to fire their last barrage. Wonder who will make a name for themselves and emerge as the new Kerry Klone?

Don't Bring Your Hate To Our Doorstep and Expect a Welcome Mat

WHEN did 'hate' become a tangible thing?! I swear 36yo me can remember when 'hate' was generally just applied to travesties like broccoli casserole and weekend homework. These people cotinually and unashamedly prove themselves insane.

And thanks to Bloomberg, the Blame America First bunch will be offered discounts and incentives (don't forget the blue buttons) to 'behave themselves'.

You oughta consider visiting places outside of Berkley sometime. You'd be amazed but outside of Berkley they invented computer keyboards which can magically type both lower and upper case English alphabet letters.

LOL! Nothing disrupts a protest like a good thunderstorm.

"I will work tirelessly to ensure that President Shrub is kicked out of the office he illegally stole! I will not sleep! I will not weaken! unless it rains........."

This sort of stuff happened at my college all the time, except that it was Aparthied. I'm sure that the political leaders of South Africa trembled at the might of a dozen unwashed hippies in a small Northern school.

Had the convention been held in a Southern city, the anarchists would be more likely to suffer arrest, as radical leftists are a constituency that police departments and city councils fear, even in places like Atlanta. The absence of large mass transit systems and the sort of street life that exists in places like Boston would prevent demonstrators from disappearing into crowds. Buses filled with protesters could be stopped and delayed for hours en route while state troopers engaged in "safety inspections." What sort of reception do you think 40-50 strangely dressed and tattooed East Coast types disembarking from a bus would receive at the truck stops and restaurants? It might be difficult for them to be fed, unless, of course, they packed their own bagels and cream cheese for the journey. Lawyers from the ACLU's Long Island office would not receive a welcome reception in the courts or police stations in places like Tyler, Texas or Chattanooga, Tennessee, with their stereotypical Eastern rudeness and air of superiority.

It is too bad the GOP picked New York as their convention site.
