See, if I would live in Florida (and I might for a couple years to get the expeience just despite the horrid humid summers with awful bugs), I would live inland a couple hours from the ocean. It would just be a bit of a drive to get to the beach.

The reporter in Charlotte Harbor better look out when the storm surge moves back in... Looking at the way the hurricane moving up along the west shore of Charlotte Harbor, that's the absolute *worst* case scenario for forcing an enormous storm surge up the Harbor and flooding the city...
