........Kerry has tried to limit Bush's inroads with Jewish voters by backing Israel over the Palestinian Authority, and this week said he would have still voted for the war in Iraq even if he knew at the time that Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction or ties to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. And while Kerry supports amending the Patriot Act, the counterterrorism law that many Arab-Americans say has been used to infringe on their rights, he was among the majority of lawmakers who voted for it in October 2001.
"It's a dilemma," said Taleb Salhab, coordinator of the Florida Arab American Leadership Council. "We have worked diligently with the Kerry campaign to get them to address some of these concerns, but the Nader factor remains an issue in our community."
Peter Camejo, Nader's running mate, said in an interview: "The Muslim-Arab community is very anti-Bush and is going to Kerry, but it's also one area where Nader is getting a lot of support."
There are an estimated 270,000 Arab-Americans in Florida, 400,000 in Michigan, 160,000 in Ohio, and 150,000 in Pennsylvania. About 70 percent of Arab-Americans are Christians.........

Arab-Americans for Kerry? Say it ain't so!
Can you believe it?
They kidding? |
who woulda thunkit?
I'm reeling in shock!
Well I would have never imagined! Seriously, what has Dubya said that is specifically anti-Arab-American? We know what Kerry says, and that's pretty much nothing.
I can understand Arab Americans being confused and scared, even though US citizens displayed tremendous restraint, civility, and maturity when 9-11 occurred. But, since the left-nut BS channels [A-BS, N-BS, C-BS, MSN-BS, CNN-BS] failed to recognize our historic restraint toward the Arab people and even try to make it look as though we did not with a few, petty examples, what are they supposed to think? At the same time, pro-melting pot Americans such as myself, who want us to all melt into a somewhat, halfway united culture [especially when attacked] probably threatens peoples' desire to split this country into a thousand Quebecs [multiculturalism]. That alienates us. FReegards....
we know why. CAIR and other arab "rights" group are scaring US muslims about Bush on purpose, its part of their fight against the US.
There is a difference with non-Muslim immigrants which are less supportive of illegals, but religion is a strong binder for the Jihad.
CAIR gets upset that someone may talk about airport profiling of Middle Eastern people. What about the fact that no Arab has ever been beaten up on or since 9-11? Arab bashing happens in Europe, the land of tolerance. Their real agenda is to fragment American society and bring it right down to their level.
Is this in contrast to the "tossed salad" version of America?
Not to mention the hostile, anti-American media.
I hate that, tossed salad.
.......anti-Bush meda - same thing.
They are traitors. Move 'em to Gitmo.
I wouldn't think they'd want to advertise this fact.
There are an estimated 270,000 Arab-Americans in Florida, 400,000 in Michigan, 160,000 in Ohio, and 150,000 in Pennsylvania. About 70 percent of Arab-Americans are Christians... So far, Kerry is clearly benefiting from the growing anti-Bush feelings over the Iraq war, a widening chasm between the West and the Islamic world, and what Arab-American leaders see as ethnic profiling and the White House's disregard for their concerns.
Are the 70 percentn of Arab American Christians concerned about the chasm between the West and the Islamic World....I don't think so!
Any muslim who cares about the future of their children should be voting for GWB.
