On the 5th I posted an article title The Media is the Real Enemy - Watch Media Reaction to the Swift Boat Vets Story and be Convinced!. After observing what has happened since and in particular the performance typified by Crossfire and Hardball tonight, is there any question remaining that our primary activism objective needs to be defeating the media hegemony that nourishes the beast?

I've been involved in FReeper activism beginning way back with the March for Justice in '98. I now believe my energies have been nothing but shadow boxing. Every single action that we have undertaken against groups or individuals can trace their existence to an adoring dim media that creates them, props them up and then protects them from damage through propaganda, misdirection and lies.

I think it's time we redirect our efforts to the source that creates, sustains and drives liberalism.

Wrong. They can and will continue to "control" funding, until conservatives out spend them, which isn't going to happen anytime soon because people want stuff. It's going to take years to re-educate people on Constitutional principles, and the long term benefits thereof.

To paraphrase a Founding Father, once the populace realizes they can vote benefits to themselves, the Republic is over.

Buy or hoard food for resale. A long time ago, in the middle of the night, while driving cross country, I stopped at a small diner in the middle of nowhere. The menu listed no prices. I had 3 eggs over-easy, bacon, home fries, toast & real butter and good coffee. It was 3 in the morning, my waitress was young and chippy, the cook was overworked but could spare a smile. My ticket read $1. GOD BLESS KANSAS!

Why is that talk radio and the internet are not afraid to tell the truth?
Why do the TV and Cable newsrooms refuse to "question Senator Kerry's patriotism"?
Why do the TV and Cable newsrooms look for the negative news BUT ignore they are backing a traitor?

It all comes down to advertising sales. Talk radio and the internet don’t depend on major corporate sponsors, Cable and broadcast news does. If the corporate entities spend their advertising money they get what they pay for - not just promotion of their product but also promotion of their ideas.
As for “look for the negative news BUT ignore they are backing a traitor” it’s pretty simple. If the sponsors want Hanoi John elected they have to ignore that he is a lying, backstabbing, seditious traitor.

There is the lie. He NEVER WAS in Cambodia. The Swiftboat book Unfit for Command addresses that issue. And Nixon, who had WON election in November 1968, did not take office until January, 1969.

You've got it just right. The media are the real enemy. I think they don't even pretend to make any bones about it any longer. The gloves are off, and they intend to defeat Bush at any and all costs. Any media outlet which stands in the way of the left-wing onslaught is branded as exremeist, sued and attacked.

I believe that even Freepers will be shocked over the next 2 months at the things we will se on network TV and in the press. This is going to be unprecedented. Just wait for the debates to come around. I expect the major issue for the candidates to "debate" will be how much Bush should apologize, and why he has not apologized for failing to apologize -- For being an American, for being President, for being a Republican, and for being alive.

Hey, good to be back.... I took a while off for a mental health break, as I was really getting wound up regarding the Dims, Michael Moore (NO RELATION!!) the press, and kind of got down about feeling whatever I did, the press had already negated it.

There is a large billboard along I-95 or I-93 Southbound into Boston, saying "Don't Believe the Liberal Media". Good, but it could be better - and changed more often. This strategery could be replicated in cities in battleground states to reach swing voters who are not internet savvy. Some suggestions for various messages:
