After Crossfire and Hardball Tonight, is There Any Question Remaining? The Media is the Real Enemy.

On the 5th I posted an article title The Media is the Real Enemy - Watch Media Reaction to the Swift Boat Vets Story and be Convinced!. After observing what has happened since and in particular the performance typified by Crossfire and Hardball tonight, is there any question remaining that our primary activism objective needs to be defeating the media hegemony that nourishes the beast?
I've been involved in FReeper activism beginning way back with the March for Justice in '98. I now believe my energies have been nothing but shadow boxing. Every single action that we have undertaken against groups or individuals can trace their existence to an adoring dim media that creates them, props them up and then protects them from damage through propaganda, misdirection and lies.
I think it's time we redirect our efforts to the source that creates, sustains and drives liberalism.
Comments and suggestions?

Tpaine why don't you start your own thread about how we should create a 3rd party alternative 82 days from the election and how that would be good for the country TODAY. That may keep you busy for a while.

Go check the viewer/listenership numbers of ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MCNBS, CNBC, The NY/LA TImes, Hollywood and magazines and compare them to Hannity and Scaraborough.
We're getting our message out more than before but we are still at 10 to 1 odds.

Republicans have to come up with some REAL issues to convince that center to vote for them.
Can you name some? All I see so far is the same old tired bull we've been hearing since Nixon.

Maybe we should also begin targeting our own party leaders???
Maybe we're not nearly as tenacious as the far left is with their leaders??

Kerry's not suing them, but the DNC is suing them. O'Neill said they have 3 lawsuits .. he didn't explain.

"Republicans have to come up with some REAL issues to convince that center to vote for them." Forget the pubs and forget the dims. They are political partys whose goal is to elect their members and only secondly, to adhere to principles and those are mainly used to...elect their members.
Move the center and you move the culture...the partys will follow the votes.

That won't work, Bob. I used to work in radio and I've seen the textbooks used in journalism studies. They are some of the worst, most biased pieces of garbage ever written, and are treated as gospel. No one gets anywhere in journalism or the universities without toeing a Stalinist line.

Bob, - how can we rid ourselves of the 'two party' system, if we unconditionally support one half of it?
A two party system works in our favor. Each peddles to the middle to win so all one has to do is move the middle in their direction to change the culture.
That is ~not~ how the systems been working Bob.
Each faction has indeed been peddling socialism to the middle. -- And that's why we conservatives are in big trouble.

Forget the party leaders, they will follow the votes. Votes are developed buy opinion and opinion is shaped by the media. Change the media, change the vote, change the parties, move the culture.

A media coordinated hatchet job on John O'Neill. John performed admirably but what I don't understand is how easily we conservatives accept that uneven playing field. I guess we're just used to it.
