Democrats attacking Vietnam Veterans. Talk about a flashback from the sixties.

It sounds like the Democrats are in a tough positIon: either defend John Kerry and call combat veterans liars - thereby damaging their 'spin' on the party qualified to handle the nation's security. Or let the charges stand, and risk finding out that Kerry might have lied.

I'm glad W. stayed out of this fray. Civilians attacking political opponents' combat experience risk alienating non-partisans. By and large, folks don't like to see combat vets attacked, no matter what their political idealogy.

That's what you get for making Vietnam the centeral issue of the campaign.

Lies are the only way the Kerry Kampaign can defend him.

The Swift Boat veterans charges are much more damning than the AWOL fiction in that THESE charges have have eyewitnesses and at least some documentation to back them up. Like the Christmas in Cambodia story Hanoi John boy dreamed up and "seared" into his memory.

Maybe true Patriots and all veterans are starting to pay some attention to this. I think when the socialists start attacking these veterans, it is going to back fire on them. Only their fellow socialists will pay any attention. Veterans will start to wonder about this guy's claims of being such a hero. Maybe it will turn the tide. However, the Swifties are in for a very rough ride, but I bet they knew that already before they started.

Look, in the interest of good government and in a spirit of bipartisianship, I'm sending a donation to the Kerry campaign. Of course, it won't be as much as I'd like to give since high taxes take much of what I have. Nevertheless, I'm going to tighten the old belt a notch or two and send Senator Kerry my 2 cents. It's the least I can do.

If I (serving in 2nd platoon) went on operations with the 1st platoon in my company (Co.D)

Is it a "True Statement" that I served with..(alongside)...members of 2nd platoon and 1st
platoon on operations in RVN?...I'd say yes...

The 'good' Swift Boat' veterans served alongside Kerry's boat on many operations...Swift Boats did not usually operate alone...they went in small groups..sometimes two boats sometimes more

It was on such operations...(Swift boats alongside each other) that the members of one crew could easily observe the actions of each other...talk back and forth on the radio or simply by hollering at each other..

When things were quiet I have observed PBRs tying up together and the crews of each boat
interacting...

Kerry hates the fact that he was observed by honest witnesses ..good men...either doing he things he now denies or not doing the things he claims he did...

Kerry was observed by these 'Good Swift Boat Vets"....these honest good men...are RELIABLE EYE WITNESSES TO KERRY'S ACTIONS....these are just the kinds of men that would be called as reliable witnesses in any trial to determine what the truth of any matter is.....

Any honest jury would be compelled to make decisions as to guilt or innocence based upon the testimony...based upon the testimony of such good and honest men....

If all these gentlemen say Kerry is a liar....and a fraud...You Can Pretty Much Take THAT To The Bank
