Democrat presidential hopeful John Kerry and his wife got into a heated argument after a campaign rally in Arizona Sunday night -- a heated argument so hot they spent the night in different rooms!
A well-placed law enforcement source tells DRUDGE how Kerry and Teresa Heinz moved to separate suites at Flagstaff's Little America Hotel.
"It was a cooling off, nothing more," says a top source.
The stress of the campaign and the nonstop tour of battleground states is taking a toll on the Kerrys.
Teresa Heinz Kerry has been confiding in staffers how the tour is just "nonstop movement" and how there "is no time just to 'be.'"

I'd bet that she takes a few drinks with additional prescribed medication. Not a good combination, unless you want to fall over.
And her beloved first husband? She is also reported to have told him "No way" as well - and she really, really loved/loves HIM.
She did tell him "no way", and she and he were beautiful together, and there was great worry here in Pittsburgh among her close friends that she was suicidal at the time of his death, and for a long amount of time afterwards. She really loved John Heinz, who was a gem. I used to play tennis with him.
She most likely is having buyer's remorse at this point.

I don't think she stays in the Georgetown townhome mansion when Congress is in session - so they are apart a lot of the time. Many marriages depend on these long separations to survive. "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" and all that.

Plus she is used to being waited on hand-and-foot. This bus tour thing must be difficult for someone used to living such a privileged life and having the ability for anonymity at any point they want. There is no anonymity on the campaign trail. She may be close to a breakdown before November rolls around.
Exactly, I wouldn't be surprised to see her "go home" to here in Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh), and let Effin try to pull off this charade by himself!

Friends of our family knew their family as well. GOP PA insiders. Your feeling is their's as well. I shutter each time I see the Heinz sons being trotted out before the cameras.

I wonder how sincere we are in our expressions of religious faith when we name-call a woman none of us know. So much for charity and forbearance.
She was a child of privelege in the colonial society of Mozambique, a devout Roman Catholic school girl, then the wife of a man of great personal appeal, wealth, and with a commitment to public service.
I think she was still grieving for John Heinz, her children were grown, she was lonely when Kerry approached her.
Her "handlers" on this campaign, those who are trying to make her into something more "appealing" to voters, are probably people, the Carvilles, Lehanes, that John Heinz would not have allowed to put one tacky foot anywhere near him or his family.
I haven't seen her pretending to "relate" to the people at Kerry's rallies; that would be insulting. Barbara and Laura Bush don't do that either.
It must disgust Mrs. Heinz Kerry to see Kerry "getting down with the rubes" and over doing it. Kerry's sister said, "John is a man of the people. Of the little people, actually." Mrs. Heinz Kerry would gag on such a sentence. I believe.
I think that this campaign has drawn Mrs. Heinz Kerry deeper into John Kerry's world of makeshift and evasion and deceit. The contrast between her first husband, "the love of my life," and this creature, part Baron Munchhausen, part Mac the Knife, is becoming more obvious to her. The horror!

I know the song. Darin, Sinatra, Bennett...my parents and grandparents always had their music playing while we were growing-up. I now have my own collection, and am surprised how many others in their 20's and 30's still have an appreciation of this music, really timeless. My husband laughed when I taught my 8 year-old to play "Summer Wind" on the piano.
Thank you for your affirmation of my suppositions, watching her and reading what I have about her.
I didn't know John Heinz but I have read that they had a fantasy marriage in the sense that it was just perfect. They loved each other dearly. He was the genuine thing which must be a stark contrast for what she is now finding out about her second husband.
While waiting for my van to be worked on I read a TIME magazine interview that was done with her and Edward's wife. She struck me as pleasant, kind, thoughtful and well educated. This experience of the campaign must be very difficult.
I can't hlep but wonder if she can't, at some point, tell John-boy that she needs a break, and get herself to her home in Pittsburgh where she can recharge her batteries, and get a break from being around the droning-voiced one. With some separation, perhaps from what she's read and heard (supposing that she has) about her second husband's Viet Nam service and the Camobida "story", she will be able to absorb the facts, and make some calm decisions for her future that do NOT involve Sen. Kerry.
Yes, I want her back here. I'm for Bush, vehemently, but I don't find a need for G.W. to win this election because Teresa explodes, and, she's on the edge. I can see it in her body language, and many here in Pittsburgh are worried for her safety.
She should leave the campaign, come home, and allow Effin to blow it all by himself. Believe it or not, she's not a bad woman. He brings her down, way down!
I have read some of your comments with interest. I have found myself (in spite of myself) viewing her as a woman in true emotional pain.
John Heinz was the love of her life. I recall she served out his Senate term. In the past I had seen interviews with her and she was an entirely different woman. I wasn't paying much attention, but she did not strike me as having radical left winged political leanings. In fact, when Kerry announced his candidacy, I wondered how that would work?
How long had John Heinz been dead before she and Kerry married? She is not a stupid woman, by any stretch of the imagination. She has to know what is being said, the contradictions and lies he has told. Maybe she is seeing the "do anything, say anything" part of him for the first time and applying it to her own life. What a slap in the face that could be.
I do feel sorry for her, but I don't base my vote on pity.

She is a broken woman, she's living (I believe under the influence of something pharmacuetical, and it breaks my heart.)
I miss the girl I knew in 1970 when she was John Heinz' wife. She was a darling, sweet, gentle woman! No "shove its" back then. We lived in a sector of Pittsburgh where those sentiments were not needed..........ever!
Pray for her getting away from this FRAUD Kerry, and pray for the FRAUD Kerry to be exposed as the FAKE that he is. He should be strung up!

The 37-year-old Heinz IV is a committed Zen Buddhist who works as a blacksmith in Bucks County, Pa. He told reporters in 1995 that he was a registered Independent.
Publicly available voting records list the eldest son of Teresa and the late Sen. John Heinz III as "non-partisan."
But because the secretive Heinz IV won't speak to the press now, Kerry campaign flacks are desperately trying to fill in the blanks in a way that won't embarrass his stepfather.
Complicating matters is a 2002 quote from Teresa saying that she believed her eldest son started "hating her" around the time his first daughter was born in 2000.
Asked if Heinz IV would be backing his mother's husband, Heinz Kerry spokeswoman Marla Romash told Newsday, "I'm sure" he will.
What about the $1,000 he gave to Nader in 2000?
"Listen, John is entitled to his privacy. ... "
How can Romash be sure that Heinz IV supports Kerry?
"It's a ridiculous question," she told the paper.
As for Teresa's "my son hates me" revelation, Romash declined to comment, saying only that the Heinzes are "a close and loving family."
