Gertz to break story in W Times...
bump to myself.
This is what's on Drudge:
"U.S. intelligence officials say a high-profile political assassination, triggered by the public release of a new message from Osama bin Laden, will lead off the next major al Qaeda terrorist attack, the WASHINGTON TIMES has learned.
The assassination plan is among new details of al Qaeda plots disclosed by U.S. officials familiar with intelligence reports who, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the killing could be carried out against a U.S. or foreign leader either in the United States or abroad.
The new details of al Qaeda's plans were found on a laptop computer belonging to arrested al Qaeda operative Muhammad Naeem Noor Khan of Pakistan, Bill Gertz is set to report in a page one blockbuster.
'We're talking about planning at the screwdriver level,' one official said. 'It is very detailed.'
I remember that. They used that as a signal.
Thanks!
It just occurred to me who the "public official" in question might be. I won't post the name here, though -- so as to avoid attracting unwanted attention.
This is scary. Does not matter what party the official belongs to.....we cannot allow an assassintation.
I know folks who work for Republican officials.
One stray shot, one small ED, etc., and I could be dusting off my black suit.
What worries me most....now that they are reporting that we know they would like to do this.....they may decide to go after lower level officials. Even City wide or county wide in areas where the voters may be a toss up.
It is time to eradicate these Islamunist Terrorist from the globe.
"Another political red herring by Bush and the Republicans to shore up a sagging candidacy. When will these slimy ..."
BLAM!
"Why didn't you tell us it was for real?! You call that a warning?! You reptilian bastards. You filthy bottom-dwelling ..."
"the killing could be carried out against a U.S. or foreign leader either in the United States or abroad."
'We're talking about planning at the screwdriver level,' one official said. 'It is very detailed.'
IF the plan is so detailed, why don't they know if the plan is for a foreign or domestic leader?
Nothing on FoxNews yet but Amber Frye looks the best she has ever looked on their website...glow of motherhood I guess.
"What does that me??"
That mes its HUGH and Vey Series.
Plus someone set us up the bomb.
:-)
If Bush were to leave the scene, for whatever reason, Cheney would have no chance whatsoever of winning the election at the top of the ticket
Bin Laden might be feeling the squeeze from what's been going on lately. Here's hoping we get him sooner rather than later. I'm not so worried about them getting President Bush, but I sure hope Tony Blair and other leaders have their backsides covered.
Worse is that the populace doesn't get it. The media's refusal to re-air 9/11 footage, damning it to the memory hole of the MTV generation, contributes to this inability to grasp that WE ARE AT WAR.
How many more must die?
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that.
"IF the plan is so detailed, why don't they know if the plan is for a foreign or domestic leader?"
Yep. sounds like more semi-b.s. Look to Bush to get criticized for scare tactics.
Those who spend too much time living in the past are unaware of the present. He's still in the '70's.
I have a hard time blaming Kerry for that. Remember, this is the same government that found enough time last summer in the midst of this "war" to pass -- by nearly unanimous approval -- a law protecting Americans from telemarketers.
That was the day I realized we had officially surrendered.
An assassination plot against whom?
I've heard that Tony Blair is pretty lax about security. I sure hope he bumps it up a notch.
I've seen on the news where he rides the trains and subways in London.
