Why, most excellent work, my colleague William.

I perceive this will also be useful in future occassions, including those within our peerless Leader, as I'm sure you've planned....

Until the cheerleaders there decide to hide out, like their candidate.

You're living in the past, man.

Alan meets all the constitutional criteria, and is the nominee.

Your continued whining simply serves Obama, the freakin' communist.

Quit being a baby, live in the present tense.

You act as if that 28% was a finishing point, rather than a starting point.

You're deluded.

Guess that's what happens when you drink the CBS koolaid.

I'm not whining, I'm not being a baby, and you're need to use insults tells me everything I need to know. Alan complies with the letter of the constitution, but he is violating the intenrt AND his own WORD. He should be ashamed of himself, and the fact that you need to use insults to defend his wrtong action makes you even worse.

Quite being insulting and live in HONOR and INTEGRITY.

Nothing deluded about it, to win he'll have to gain a percentage point every 3 days. It's not going to happen he will lose badly. The deluded ones here are the ones thinking a carpetbagging arch conservative who has gone back on his sacred word has a chance. If the liberal base in Chicago doesn't beat him karma will.

Haven't watched CBS news in 20 years, the koolaide drinkers are the ones thinking he's going to win. He couldn't even get the GOP base in the poll, it's over, Obama has already won, the Illinois GOP has made sure of it. And remember who to blame when Obama votes commie for the next 6 year, the guys that couldn't manage to find any local talent to run and therefore had to import an illegitimate candidate. Nov 2 will prove who's deluded, and it's not gonna be me.

He never gave his word. Why do you invent things?

He did lambaste Hillary when she was running. Since when is lambasting Hillary a bad thing in FReeperland? Did you try to stop her?

You just can't face the fact that the two situatons are completely different.

My honor and my integrity are not threatened by Alan Keyes having the guts to do what no one else was willing or able to do.

Alan doesn't have a thing to be ashamed about.

And as to insults? I'm simply fighting fire with fire. It is Obama's waterboys and girls here that cranked up their disinformation machine against Keyes. I'm responding. What's the matter, you can dish it, but you can't take it?

His sacred word? Karma? LOL...

Perhaps, if he does lose, it will be because of disloyal RINOs who undermined him?

But y'all would never admit it. It would be a failure of conservatives and conservative principle in your deluded minds forever.

He said carpetbagging was wrong.

Actually I did send Rudy some money, partly because he was up against a carpetbagger, I won't do the same with Obama of course because I want him to lose.

You just can't face the fact that there is no real difference between these situation, they're both carpetbagging scum. Here's the only difference: we knew before Hillary carpetbagged that she was a worthless humanbeing who couldn't be trusted.

Your honor and integrity are suffering by your needing insults to defend a carpetbagger.

Alan most certainly does have something to be ashamed about, he's doing something he said himself is wrong. He even said it was wrong during his acceptance speech. People who do something they know is wrong should be ashamed.

I haven't insulted anybody adn I certainly haven't insulted you. You're using insults because those are the last resort of somebody who knows the facts won't back them up. There is no disinformation is what I said, Keyes IS violating the clear intent of the Constitution and he DID say carpetbagging is wrong and he IS carpetbagging, no disinformation, just a person showing that he is untrustworthy.

there's nothing RINO about wanting a person to obey the intent of the Constitution and not do what they themselves have said is wrong.

when Keyes loses it won't be a failure of conservatives or conservative principle. It will be a failure by a RINO dominated state party machine and a carpetbagger doing what he himself has said shouldn't be done. There's absolutely nothing conservative or principled in how keyes has come to run for this office.

You have raised parochialism to the level of constitutional principle.

It's kind of funny that you can't make such simple distinctions.

How can it be a violation of the Constitution to do something that the Constitution allows?

Besides, you are still arguing about a fait accompli. This discussion is so last week.

There is nothing inherently conservative or liberal about process questions like this.

'Is it according to the rules?', that's the question.

Alan's run is according to the rules. He is a resident of Illinois.

If the founders had wanted anybody to be able to run for office in any state then why did they bother to put a residency clause in? It's just that simple, obviously they wanted a state's representatives to actually know something about the state and be able to REPRESENT it, people who moved there for the sole purpose of running for office can't actually represent the state.

You brought the discussion back, don't like it, stop replying. Regardless of what happens Keyes is an illegitimate candidate that shouldn't be running and has said himself that this kind of candidacy is wrong. That IS the discussion and will be until he loses on Nov 2.

Conservaitve respect the Constitution and the intent of the founders in its writing. Conservatives understand there had to be a reason for writing a residency clause, Conservatives will respect that reason and not carpetbag.

Keyes has chosen the path that is not conservative.

The question is "is it according to the intent of the rules? Or is it someone finding a loophole in the exact writing of the rules?" And the answer is Keyes is clearly violating the intent, and shame on him for it.

You keep harping on residency.

Alan is a resident of Illinois.

It's constitutional.

He wasn't a resident until AFTER he'd accepted the nomination.

It's a clear violation of INTENT.

How so?

You would rather give a radical Leftist like Obama a free pass to the Senate?

You'd rather have him traveling the country raising money for RATs?

You'd rather that the RATs weren't forced to raise millions more for Obama in the coming months?

Looks brilliant to me.

My hat is off to the White House, Karl Rove, the House and Senate leadership, the Illinois State Central Committee and to Alan Keyes for taking the initiative to take the battle to the enemy.

It's a refreshing thing to see.
