He's the ILLEGITIMATE nominee, I'm living with it, you're in denial.

And I should tank you for being a rude dork through the entire day showing the entire world that you should never be listened to. If people like you are the best supporters Keyes can come up with the whipping he's going to receive is even worse than I thought.

Grow up, learn to argue with facts, stop acting like an over-muscled 12 year-old. That routine stops working when you get out of school, nobody out in the real world has any respect for bullies, every threat and insult simply lowers peoples estimations of your intelligence. If you ever want to be taken seriously in this world you'll need to learn to complete a sentence without insulting someone. And you'll need to learn that people can disagree with you, you might actually be wrong once in a while.

There you insulting people first and lying about what they've done. You're the only person on this thread that's used insults. Stop trying to turn everything into a flame war, there is no "our side" there are just people disappointed in Keyes, people supporting him anyway, and YOU insulting people for no good reason.

Pot, kettle, black, and all that...

Quit attacking the Republican nominee, and you won't have to endure the reprisals.

You're the only one dishing anything. You aren't standing up to anybody, bullyism is the ultimate form of cowardice. People are bullies because they're afraid nobody will respect them without fear, people are bullies because they're afraid there's nothing about them people will like or even remember, people are bullies because they feel inadequate and are afraid the rest of the world feels the same about them.

Until Keyes took this nomination he was one of my favorite people in the conservative movement. I had nothing but respect and admiration for him. Until he took this illegitimate candidacy I never said or even thought anything bad about him. Then he decided to do something he had repeatedly said was wrong, I can't stand behind him anymore. If you can that's your perogative, I can't. I now consider him a man operating without integrity or honor, I have no choice, that's how I view ALL men that do something they are on record as saying is wrong, if I give Keyes a pass that makes me a hypocrite, I won't become a hypocrite for anybody.

I'm not attacking anyone. I'm speaking the truth. He's an illegitimate candidate, he's exactly as illegitimate as a candidate in Illinois as he repeatedly said Hillary was in New York. How can a person's own words be an attack?

He shouldn't be running for this office, every minute he's on the campaign trail he compounds his wrongs, those are the facts, there is no attack there. And if you had any facts to go against it you wouldn't need to attack others, again your behavior shows the truth that you know. You know Keyes shouldn't be running for this office, if you didn't you wouldn't feel the need to use vitriol in his defense.

Why would I support a commie scumbag?

It's not an either or world. There are third parties, there are still people in Illinois that could become legitimate candidates if the Illinois GOP and Keyes suddenly decided to do the right thing, if nothing else this embarassing display of foolishness should (hopefully) inspire a major shake-up in the Illinois GOP.

Just because I cannot in good conscience support Keyes doesn't mean I want Obama to win. What I want is for Keyes to once again behave like the brilliant honorable man I used to look forward to seeing on TV and help the Illinois GOP fix the mess they made for themselves. Instead he's just making it worse.

I'm facing reality very well. The Illinois GOP screwed up royaly and now it's an absolute certainty that Obama will win. By accepting the nomination and becoming an illegitimate candidate Keyes helped them to make sure Obama would win.

That's the reality, everybody involved in this that is registered Republican screwed up. They did the wrong thing, they did it for the wrong reasons, and they did it poorly, and in so doing they announced to the world that the Ill. GOP has no vision and a shallow bench lacking useful candidates and have effectively ceded control of the state over to the Democrats for at least 2 election cycles in the process.

That's the reality YOU fear to face.

Donate to Alan Keyes? Why don't you just go on the freeway, open your windows, and toss out $20 bills into the wind instead?

I think its a waste of money as well. The Illinois state GOP is an absolute mess and getting Keyes to run was a really bad idea.

One other thought occurs. The sentence you quoted "a technicality like carpetbagging" from read, in full, like this:

"Do you really think we should let a real died-in-the-wool socialist and cheerleader for baby-killing just waltz into this Senate seat over a technicality like carpetbagging?"

The answer some conservatives are giving is, "Yes, let's send a real died-in-the-wool socialist and cheerleader for baby-killing to the U.S. Senate! It's the American Way!"
