Credit: The Cabal The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger. "Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix." With the nation on high alert for al-Qaida terrorists, the Department of Homeland Security is putting its border officers through "etiquette" classes to soften their image and make them less threatening to arriving foreign immigrants, WorldNetDaily has learned. |

Russian Computer Expert Predicts Internet Terrorist Attack
Created: 24.08.2004 18:27 MSK (GMT +3), Updated: 18:27 MosNews
Terrorist will paralyze Internet on August 26, a Russian expert in antivirus programs said on Tuesday.
Speaking at the conference hosted by Russian Information Agency Novosti, Aleksandr Gostev from Kaspersky Labs said information on this terrorist attack was published on special websites. He did not elaborate.
First of all, the United States and Western Europe will suffer from the attack, Gostev was quoted by the agency as saying. The head of the labs, Yevgeny Kaspersky, reminded that similar attacks had earlier paralyzed Internet in South Korea. He added that it would be impossible to stop terrorist organizations if they get down to business.
The executive director of Dr.Web antivirus lab, Mikhail Bychinsky, quoted by Lenta.ru web agency said he never heard of such an attack. I do not believe in mass internet attacks because the main servers are defended, and Kaspersky Labs has been foretelling the doomsday for a long time.

"information on this terrorist attack was published on special websites. He did not elaborate. "
I'd sure love to know what else they found out on those "special websites"
From your article: Re-= Canadian container
While Canadian authorities are confident the theft was not the work of terrorists, it has nonetheless raised serious concerns, given the fact Ottawa has spent millions of dollars improving and reorganizing port security.
On April 21, customs officials discovered the container, which was targeted for inspection and supposed to be under surveillance, was missing.
It took the border agency two days to figure out the container was not misplaced.
The theft was reported to Halifax Regional Police and a special port security task force on April 23.
Another day went by before the RCMP was told.
"We found out about it through the back door," the source said. Given the heightened state of security at Canada's ports, "we would have expected (customs) to notify us the moment it was (reported) missing."
Senior Mounties were furious because a special task force that included the RCMP, the Canada Border Services Agency, military police and Halifax Regional Police was set up at the port in 2003 to prevent this kind of oversight.
Despite the concerns, authorities do not believe the container carried any weapons of mass destruction, such as a radioactive dirty bomb, and did not pose a national security risk for either Canada or the United States.
Though they will not admit it publicly, police sources said they believe the crate was carrying drugs.
Authorities refuse to say where the container came from or what shipping line carried it."
Attacking our seaports or rail lines is an attack on both the U.S. and on the supply lines to Europe from Asia.
Found on Special sites.........
My evil mind was asking if he wrote the hacker code, notice that it will hit the U.S. and Western Europe, not the eastern portions of Europe........
LOL
Good find, thank you.
:)
Yes- wonder what else he reads on those "sites"...
Dear granny- time for me to leave, but I had a was wondering:
Do the dates that container was missing coincide with any of their bragging about receiving/transporting materials/Severneya (sp) projects, etc?
Yes, you are correct.
I don't think that most have any idea of how many containers of goods are shipped into the U.S.
Or what we will need to survive, if the incoming containers are stopped.
Everything we eat, wear or use, has been in a container.
"does the date of the missing container - match the threats?"
I would say yes, I remember that we were worried about the Easter Holidays, but then we worry about all the holidays.
Maybe someone else, can add to the dates?
This is curious. One of the most-talked about aspects of the 9/11 attack was the importance that the availability of the Internet provided on that day for communication purposes....
Well granny....are you saying that you are available for such a position?!
As always, it sounds that someone is trying to cover their butt and not lose their job at the expense of the safety of thousands.
I tend to agree with your view on this one, but it sure isn't an exact match.
I've been checking other parts of the world on maps and can't come up with any closer match.
I have a vague recollection of that. Will try to search in a bit.
has this been posted here yet?
A man described in a federal indictment as a "high-ranking" Hamas operative was arrested in Maryland on Friday videotaping the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, authorities acknowledged last night.
Ismael Selim Elbarasse of Annandale, Va., long suspected by authorities of having financial ties to the Palestinian terrorist group, was taken into custody as a "material witness" in a Chicago terrorism case, according to Maryland's U.S. attorney's office.
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A man described as a high-ranking Hamas operative was arrested last week as he videotaped the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and he then was held as a material witness in an unrelated case, authorities said.
Ismael Selim Elbarasse of Annandale, Virginia, long suspected by authorities of having financial ties to the Palestinian extremist group, was taken into custody Friday, the U.S. attorney's office in Maryland said Monday. He was held as a material witness in a Chicago terrorism case.
Elbarasse made an initial appearance in Baltimore's federal courthouse Monday before U.S. District Magistrate Judge Paul W. Grimm.
A federal grand jury in Chicago, in an indictment unsealed Friday, described Elbarasse as an unindicted co-conspirator in a 15-year racketeering conspiracy in the United States and abroad to illegally finance terrorist activities in Israel.
Court documents allege that he and defendant Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook -- considered one of the highest-ranking Hamas leaders internationally -- shared a Virginia bank account that was used to launder hundreds of thousands of dollars for Hamas.
"He is being held only on the material witness charge," said Marcia Murphy, a spokeswoman for the Maryland U.S. attorney's office.
Elbarasse was spotted Friday -- the same day the Chicago indictment was made public -- by two police officers on the Bay Bridge, authorities said. The officers noticed a man in an SUV who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent videotaping the bridge, authorities said.
Authorities said the man, who was with a woman and two children, said they had gone to the beach but could not specify what beach they had visited. They also said the camera had used had recorded close-up images that seemed atypical for a tourist.
Police learned that Elbarasse was wanted as a material witness in connection with the Chicago case, and was on an FBI terrorist watch list, authorities said. But he was not charged with any wrongdoing in connection with the videotaping.
Since Elbarasse's arrest Friday, authorities have searched his Virginia house, federal officials said. Murphy said she did not know what was found.
Also Monday, a Pakistani man who was spotted a month ago videotaping the skyline of Charlotte, North Carolina, was indicted on charges of lying to the police and an immigration violation. Kamran Akhtar, 35, of New York City, was charged with six counts in the indictment, but none of them involved terrorism.

Hello BK....his arrest was posted earlier today...but I don't recall the part about his Chicago connection, sounds like that may be new information.

And therefore any another wrong step is in the direction of the rudder of The United States politics it will lead to ( the darknesses cave * )"
Interesting jg, thanks. The rather crude drawing seems to have a map on the bottom portion (of the ne portion of the US?) with lines coming from the upper portion (above the green squiggly lines) down into the states. Not sure what the upper portion is. Most curious.
