Junior Dems going after FreeRepublic and Swift Boat Veterans
Political Animal/Media Matters ^ | 8/6/04 | Kevin Drum, various

FReeper and co-author of 'Unfit for Command' Jerome R. Corsi, PhD is being attacked on WashingtonMonthly and MediaMatters.

From WashingtonMonthly:

LUNATICS?....A few misguided souls took issue with my cavalier dismissal of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth as "certifiable lunatics" yesterday. If you're one of them, I have two words for you: click here.

It turns out I was being too kind....

That leads to this MediaMatters page:

While much has been written about the identity and history of John E. O'Neill -- one of the authors of the forthcoming Regnery book Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry (whose links in the GOP go back to his days as "protégé of Nixon-era dirty trickster Charles Colson") -- little has been said about his co-author, Jerome R. Corsi, PhD.

That's followed by a list of his posts on FR, with links. The only one I looked at was taken out of context.

And, they even go into his pet names for our favorite celebrities, such as "Little Katie Communist". And?

particularly telling of the man who would be king.

Thanks for the ping. Good job!

This helps to explain the sudden rash of newbie trolls on Swiftboat Veteran threads.

Benedict Arnold is considered a hero to both sides of a war as well.

What people are not considering is which nation he served at the end of the war. Kerry has said that he believes his antiwar activities "saved lives" (by "ending the war early" which is double speak for aiding the Viet Cong propaganda machine).

Seems every time I "click on" to some article/web-site purporting to rebut the Swift Boat Vets, it ultimately takes me to Joe Conason and "Salon"...what's that all about?

Gratuitous Salon Daily Stock Deathwatch BUMP:

Looks like some more Rats have been contributing cash recently to the propaganda arm of the DNC (Salon).

Stock rose from $0.14 to $0.21 a share Friday.

Recent news was not good so "investment" is not what the "investors" are interested in:

Salon reports net loss for Q2 ( Aug. 5, 2004 )

Salon (SALN: news, chart, profile), publisher of one of the oldest online magazines, lost $1.2 million, or 8 cents a share, versus its year-ago loss of $1.3 million, or 9 cents a share.

On a pro forma basis, excluding depreciation and amortization charges and other items, the company's profit from operations was $163,000, or breakeven per share.

Revenue rose to $1.73 million from $1.05 million.

Salon said it doesn't anticipate another pro forma profit in the third quarter and added that revenue would drop to between $1.3 million and $1.4 million because of seasonal weakness.

A quote that is still paying dividends to THIS DAY:

Andropov said, wisely, "Now all we have to do is to keep the Vietnam-era anti-Americanism alive."

A bunch of rabid foaming at the mouth Kerryites over at Political Animal subnote forum are gonna hate me:

"Is John Kerry a war hero as he currently claims, or a war criminal as he claimed in 1971?

Considering his most recent incarnation has been given the Mallet Treatment by the Big Guy, wonder when, and how soon he's going to come up with a new one?

Hon is "mojo", a he. He was banned after attacking long time posters on FR (most of whom for which he has had a long established hatefest) and after repeatedly going on www.wintersoldier.com (a FRN project) threads and mucking them up with childish accusations.

A few minutes on his nasty and slanderous antifreeper site is all one needs to understand he is psychotic in his hate for Jim, this site, the FRN and most of it's long time posters.

Don't waste time and eneergy on these ignorant bastards...
these are the types that give comfort and ammunition to
terrorists...like their idols ...Lurch and Leech - they
don't have a clue where the American intelligent voter is
and as long as they remain ignorant..the "R" will be the
choice of the country...ignorance is bliss and they are
happy as bullfrogs in Georgia..where smart Democratic
Senators live...not dummies like in the Eastern states
where beans are refried like the policies of their elected
representatives. Jake

Isn't the hypocrisy here amusing?

When a group of distingushed Vietnam Vets call Kerry on his lies and use of them as a political prop for his campaign the press calls it dishonorable to question the integrity of a vet...and then goes on to question the integrity of these vets.

That "centered on the left" bunch you describe includes some sour, envious, resentful folk, who believe they're wonderful, and have a visceral, hardwired resentment of any and all people who have more than they do...

Mojo/Hon, I know you're seething right now.
I know that you thought you were being clever.
I just want you to know, somewhere deep in your twisted putrid mind, that John Kerry is going to lose, and your hatred for us will be for nothing.
How does it feel to have all your anger, hatred, and energy put forth in so much hate be for NOTHING?

I asked them a 'tough question' about whether or not John Kerry was a war hero as he currently states or a war criminal as he stated in 1971.
Apparently, the WashingtonMonthly website is down at the moment, or blocking me.
I guess they don't like being asked tough questions.
