These numbers cant be ignored. Bush is not making his case on the economy, and he hasnt convinced enough people that Kerry is weak on defense and will raise their taxes. Time for the Ad-makers and speech writers to step up and get focused.

Registered voters, add 6 to Bush. Dim bias add 8 to Bush. Standard poll adders on average.

Registered voters, not likely voters. I don't care if the registered number is 90% Kerry, as long as the likely number is over 50% at the end.

there will be some posters here in a few seconds to talk you down, and tell you Bush is going to get 60% of the vote and win in a landslide.

And then your buddies will come here to tell us Kerry will get 400 electoral votes and 75% of the popular vote.

No bump for John Boy, the race is a tie.

I'd say thats about the gist of it.

If the election was held today, which would be unconstitutional, Kerry 296EV, Bush 236EV.

Haha! before you even posted that Linux4life accused me of being a Kerry supporter.
Look guys... we can't dismiss every bit of bad news as "bias". The fact is... the only way for Bush to get re-elected is for him to make the case for 4 more years. I know well enough that Kerry is too weak to be Commander in Cheif and he basically has no coherent economic policy, but most people aren't as well informed as us and its up to the bush camp to inform them. I'm sorry but i just haven't heard it from his campaign.

A three-point lead when Nader is added is no big deal in early August when we haven't had our convention and have not even began to fight.

"And then your buddies will come here to tell us Kerry will get 400 electoral votes"
I have never seen anybody on FR say that it's pre-determined that Kerry will win. How is asking bush's staff to improve their work "pro-Kerry"?
The reason I'm saying we have to step it up is because i want bush re-elected.

"we haven't had our convention and have not even began to fight."
That's a good point... but why havent we begun to fight yet? Rove has squandered over a hundred million dollars so far on ads that I think are ineffective and off-message. I want to see them get focused. I'm not willing to imagine the possiblity of a President Kerry so these boys in the Bush camp better get their act together.

Just read posts by COURAGE, POA2, and churchillbuff. The only crap they post is that "Bush is toast", "Kerry in a land slide" and "We must warm up to President Kerry".

Ok well then I agree... those statements are irresponsible. But thats no excuse for people to call others trolls just because they criticize the current campaigns strategy and want to see a more effective one.

Don't kid yourself. Kerry got a small bounce. Enough to make Bush worry.

I think we'll know in October how this election will pan out.

It isn't that. Plenty of people criticize the campaign and I could care less. It is this handful of people who do nothing but try and destroy moral, continually post pessimistic messages, and tell us that Kerry is going to win a Reagan style landslide.
