If you havent heard yet, read the following from Drudge:
BOSTON GLOBE 'REPORTER' PAID TO WRITE CAMPAIGN BOOK FORWARD WHILE COVERING KERRY
BOSTON GLOBE reporter Mike Kranish made waves on Friday by reporting "a key figure in the anti-Kerry campaign, Kerry's former commanding officer, backed off one of the key contentions."
But Captain George Elliott claims the Kranish article is "extremely inaccurate" and highly misstated his actual views.
Oddly, journalist Kranish has been commissioned to write the forward of the official Kerry-Edwards campaign book -- just as he is covering the campaign in an official capacity as a journalist for the BOSTON GLOBE!
This conflict of interest is outrageous! This is a plain case of journalistic malpractice.
Call and email the Globe today tell them to remove Kranish from the campaign coverage and/or FIRE him!

I read stuff like this and it really makes me wish that Texas or some other state seceded the Union and only allowed conservatives to live there. The Republic is going down the drain with leftists running the media like this. Imagine if Karl Rove became a reporter for the Wash Times! ha!
I should not be surprised by this hypocrisy of the left, but some days I think, even with alternative media, that we are totally losing this war of information.

This is a clear violation of the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics:
"Act Independently Journalists should be free of obligation to any interest other than the public's right to know. Journalists should: Avoid conflicts of interest, real or perceived. Remain free of associations and activities that may compromise integrity or damage credibility. Refuse gifts, favors, fees, free travel and special treatment, and shun secondary employment, political involvement, public office and service in community organizations if they compromise journalistic integrity. Disclose unavoidable conflicts. Be vigilant and courageous about holding those with power accountable. Deny favored treatment to advertisers and special interests and resist their pressure to influence news coverage. Be wary of sources offering information for favors or money; avoid bidding for news."
Kranish is outrageous.....he violated lots of these just by writing the book.
"Sounded like Rush just said that the Dems are announcing that the Kranish paid campaign Kerry-Edwards bio may not be released."
Has he been paid? The fact that he was contacted to write this should disqualify him from reporting on the Kerry Campaign.

I thought Rush said Krainish wrote the entire campaign book. Was it just the forward?
It would seem to me that a reporter should be able to - at the very least - appear to be unbiased and neutral. I believe that it is referred to as "journalistic integrity."For a reporter to pen an introduction to a Presidential campaign book, and then to actually report on the campaign in a way clearly favorable to the candidate for which he wrote the forward, reflects badly on his judgment and the judgment of those who employ him.
I recommend you terminate his employment so that he can more fully devote his energies to the Kerry-Edwards campaign.
I hope everyone is calling.
Drudge is also saying that WTVG in Toledo was bullied into dropping the ad by Kerry campaign workers waving the Globe story.
I wrote their general inquiries line at
wtvg.webmaster@abc.com
to tell them to get a spine.
or call 419-534-3858 to speak to a reporter or anchor
WTVG-TV's main number is (419) 531-1313.

To fax the news room, call (419) 534-3898.
I mentioned in my letter that the campaign's attempts to squelch this commercial is as big a story as the ad itself. Gutless.
Indeed they did, and the suspension period just happened to coincide with the 2000 Election and he was not able to write about that retard Al Gore until after the 2000 election debacle. Jeff was permitted to write again just about a week after the 2000 election by an amazing coincidence.
His research concerning that incident by the way was not sloppy. He simply neglected to add credit to a bit of material which was written a century or so earlier and so they used that BS opportunity to keep the sole conservative at that rag silenced.
I wrote Jeff the other day about this column. He consistently hits the mark on just about every issue where he comments. The editors at the Boston Globe clearly despise him.
Being that Ohio is CRUCIAL to Bush in November, does anyone in Toledo or near Toledo wish to get together in front of the station on Dorr St, to show dissatisfaction with their decision to NOT air the Swift Boat ad?

So your rag is Kerry/Edwards PR headquarters, eh?
I knew the mainstream media is corrupted. Have known it for a long time. You just cinched it for the rest of the country."
I didn't feel the usual need to be courteous with these bums (like I usually am, heheh).
Leni
Is this a new concept? A campaign book?
The Bush campaign book has a foreward written by the Founding Fathers. It's called the preamble.
BTTT.
