Wednesday August 04, 2004--The latest Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows the race for the White House is tied once again--Senator John Kerry and President George W. Bush each attract 46% of the vote.
WOW!!! /sarc
Seriously, this is a nice thing to see, and it bears watching, but the poll that counts is in early November. Be there or be square.
and after the debates Bush will be in the lead by far
Latest spin from the DU site. WARNING: Make sure no liquids in mouth before reading or cover keyboard with towels.
~~maybe Im off track. I think the lack of bounce, or that appearance, actually works to our benefit. It might just motivate more of us to get everyone we know to the polls. If we had a 10 point lead, I think we might become complacent or over confident and wouldnt do everything we could do to bring people to the polls.~~
Bush approval rating @ 52%... good news.
The DU types are clinically insane if they think the lack of bounce is good news for their guy.
Kerry's big day on Saturday rolled off the poll. He had a 49-45 lead on Sat. after leading by one on Friday (47-46). It seems like whatever convention bounce Kerry had has already waned.
Plus, Bush probably had a very good Tuesday, since his approval rating surged from 50-52%.
I don't think it was a solid Kerry day that rolled off the poll. Bush had a good Tuesday and Kerry a good Monday.
And that's before the Republican National Convention....and....the military votes!

Why Bush is going to win
..... Right now the polls look even. But that's an optical illusion. The President has a Republican convention coming up and the power of incumbency to shape events between now and November. In other words, he's way ahead.
Kerry is a weak campaigner. Barring some kind of national disaster, his best shot is the debates. Democratic true believers think he'll kill Bush, one on one. That's what they thought about Al Gore, too.
Calling a presidential race in August is risky, especially a race that's supposedly close. But no guts, no glory. Bush will beat Kerry in a walk. If I'm right, you read it here first. If not, well, even Pauline Kael got it wrong once in a while.
"Bush approval rating @ 52%... good news."
THAT IS THE REAL GOOD NEWS!!!
A few more points - say 55% - and he would be on the road to victory.
The fact that the news media is reporting NO BOUNCE for Kerry is a great advertisement in its self. People who aren't paying close attention to politics must be thinking that Kerry is not so hot after all.
Vote and approval numbers back to 7/26 level.
It's like the RAT convention never happened.
Rassmussen's numbers may be just flatulating in the wind - but even a wet finger in the breeze can show even the simplest of libs that JF'ing's campaign is not taking the country by storm. There's no "there" there. With all of the shite heaped on w and the cheerleading and outright lies in the media, J+J should be pulling away handily.
The media could not bear to imagine this - a lot - more than half - of the country *** really likes *** Bush. Kerry gets his 42% deadenders no matter what and they quibble over the leftovers. (Those who like bush but would be embarrassed to say it at a cocktail party. Gave Reagan his big wins.)
That can't be a quote from DUmbass. There isn't a single profanity in it!
~~That can't be a quote from DUmbass. There isn't a single profanity in it!~~
I didn't post the whole thing. Later they go on to say that the f##king whore media wants the chimp in office.
They claimed a bounce after the Democrat National Convention before they claimed a bounce before it.
Right now, the talking skulls are claiming the bounce happened long before his speech, you see.
But you already knew that ...
Polls are just a device to "persuade" the uninformed to move in a desired direction. Totally useless otherwise.
"Bush approval rating @ 52%... good news"
This is the good news!!
