About 8 percent of Americans have seen Michael Moore's anti-Bush blockbuster, "Fahrenheit 9/11" but it hasn't changed many minds, because almost all of them couldn't stand President Bush in the first place, a new poll reports.
A majority of those who went to see the Bush-bashing flick 55 percent are Democrats, according to the national survey by the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg Center.
Another 24 percent describe themselves as "independents" but they are much more liberal than independents generally and three times as likely to have voted for Al Gore over Bush in 2000, according to the July 5-25 survey of 5,051 adults.

83% of moviegoers dissaprove of Bush on the WOT vs. 48% in complete survey.
Only 8% of all Americans have seen this pile of rubbish.
Actually I'd suspect 2% saw the movie four times.
I don't use the word hate often, but I actually hate Michael Moore. I don't even hate Kerry. I hate Moore....and O.J. Simpson.
Would be curious to know 2 things:
1) how many independents came away disgusted at Moore's propaganda and now associate him with Kerry, and
2) how many on the rabid left burnt out their hatred of Bush with this (ie. will sit at home in front of the tele on election day)
Or 1% saw it 8 times.
He may not get a documentary award this year because Cuban state television televised the movie last Thursday. Breaking the rule that no movie should be aired on the internet or television while it's still in theaters.
The thing that drives me crazy is the frequent use of documentary to describe this mess.
You don't have to be a mathematician to see that this doesn't add up. Bring some simple calculation to bear upon this supposition and it looks rather unlikely.
Know if you told me that Moore made this claim then I would understand.
The people who saw the movie don't vote.
They're much too busy for that mere inconvenience.
Agreed. Moore says that Bush's appearances are the funniest part of the film. I think he should give Bush 20% of the gross.
One of the complaints of dems about Rush is that he reaches too many of their own, and they are being converted. The other problem is the make-up of the audiences. Rush has excellent demographics. My guess is that Moore's are more fringe than mainstream.
Oh, I'm sure they'll ignore that. It's only Cuba after all, and Cuba doesn't count. This is Michael Moore, their darling, you know.
Morrreo has acquired a few new followers. The gays one's, who follow him into the restroom at the local bus stations.
