President Bush signed the United States-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act today in a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. Later in the day, Bush headed to speak at the 122nd Annual Knights of Columbus in Dallas, Texas. The President praised the group for its continued work with communities. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush, along with daughters Barbara and Jenna, greeted workers in New York City who work in buildings mentioned in the latest terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I needed a new compressor.

He took it off and put in a used but working conDENser! But didn't have a clue how to hook it up. Hose he used isn't thick-walled enough to hold when you put refrigerant in.

So - I need condenser attached properly and then if he really put in a working compressor, it will work when refrigerant is added. If he didn't put in a working compressor, then it will still need a compressor.

(He says he put in a used compressor after I told him about the mistake he made but I don't think he really did. It looks pretty much like my old one.)

It's confusing, I know. How HE could confuse a conDENser for a coMPRESSor, I'll never know but he managed. Ripped out a condenser that was working just fine; it was the compressor that stopped working. Yuk.

"What's your take on the 'bounce' or lack thereof? Or is it too soon to have accurate polls?"

I'm EXTREMELY pleased with Kerry's 'dead cat' bounce for one VERY important reason:

Had Kerry actually achieved the double digit bounce that most pundits predicted, the MSM/Kerry campaign would have used the results to psychologically CRUSH the President's base -- which, of course, is the primary purpose of current MSM commissioned polling!!!

[BTW: It was extremely fortuitous that GALLUP discovered a 51 45 2 bounce for the President -- any other pollster would have been summarily dismissed by the MSM!!]

CAUTION: Until mid-October, polling data will continue to fluctuate dramatically as the MSM does everything in its power to produce polling results that favor Kerry [For a foreshadowing of things to come, just examine the weighting formulas used by CBSNews/NYTimes, Newsweek, and ARG in this last round of polling!!]

For this reason, we should ALWAYS view polling data with a gigantic 'grain of salt'!!! We will win this battle on the ground -- not in the polls and certainly not in the media!!!!

Did you volunteer at the Bush/Cheney website? I volunteered too, but I was too late and this area is full of volunteers>:( Oh well, maybe one day I'll do something heroic or extraordinary and the President will request to meet me. Then I will embarass myself by swooning or whooping and hollering. A girl can only dream.

I think John Kerry is very smart, I think he is very calculating and I also believe he is behind the Joe Wilson lies, as well as the Richard Clark lies, and is indirectly involved in the Sandy Berger scandal.

What John Kerry lacks is a SPINE. To make up for it, he employs many pawns who are funded by his Wife's "Tides Foundation" to do his dirty work. Between his Wife TaRaaza and George Soros, they fund every left wing extremist group in the country, including many European groups

hmm.. that could be true. Rush did say today that he though that Kerry was behind Dean's recent ramblings and when he saw it wasn't working he distanced himself from Dean. It's just hard to picture the man with any sense because of his lackluster personality. And because he puts his great big foot in his mouth on a daily basis. He just appears to be an elitist with an extra dose of arrogance.

Can't you see the President thinking these lines as he danced with Laura the night of the Inauguration? (sigh)"

My thoughts exactly! (double sigh)

A condenser is much like your radiator, all it does is warm up your refrigerant so it will become a gas again, it has no moving parts, it either holds pressure or it leaks. So my guess is if the lines cant hold the pressure, their is a block in the system, most likely the filter dryer is clogged.

The Compressor is connected to the Condenser by a hose, so maybe it's just the hose. Call me tomorrow and I'll give you a number to a good mechanic near me

The LOTR books are over 50 years old? I had no idea.

I am sort of ashamed to admit that I have not read the books or seen the movies.

(I'll try to fix that!)

Thank you for the poll information.

And now, for a question. I realize that MSM stands for the media, but it keeps popping up on FR lately and I would love to know just exactly what the initials mean.

"What's your take on the 'bounce' or lack thereof? Or is it too soon to have accurate polls?"

Well remember that the Kerry camp claimed that no one "knew" Kerry before the convention, and that their goal was to introduce Kerry to the American public. THEN, after the introduction, BUSH got a bounce (by some accounts)! Now Democrats are trying to claim that this race was tight all along, and THAT is why there was no bounce. So which is it: either they didn't know Kerry and didn't like him once they got to know him, or he didn't excite them enough to change any minds. Either way, Kerry loses.

I firmly expect Bush to get a bigger bounce from his convention. Not just because I support him 110%, but I believe that things will begin to improve for Bush in the weeks ahead, and then America will be reminded for the first time in a long time what a great leader Bush has been. He has endured over a year and a half of relentless attacks with little or no response. I think the Republican convention, which will better portray the mainstream of the party than the dems did, will appeal more to the average American. If anything, I think that many democrats, especially those anti-war dims (and there are a LOT of them) will feel a sense of betrayal by their own party and will stay home in November.

I believe that this election is Bush's to lose, and that he will appeal more to the average American at his convention. Kerry was a puppet- they all were- every speaker at that convention. They said what others told them to say. President Bush speaks from the heart and I think Americans who have forgotten that will re-connect with him.

I really enjoyed "A Man of Faith", and I'm expecting Tommy Franks' book, "American Soldier" in the mail tomorrow. I also preordered Ronald Kessler's new book about character in Bush's WHite House and I can't wait till it comes out! We all need to keep encouraging each other and reading the positive books!
