A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 8/3/04
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 08/03/2004 5:34:03 PM PDT by rintense

President Bush signed the United States-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act today in a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. Later in the day, Bush headed to speak at the 122nd Annual Knights of Columbus in Dallas, Texas. The President praised the group for its continued work with communities. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush, along with daughters Barbara and Jenna, greeted workers in New York City who work in buildings mentioned in the latest terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I might do that! They come highly recommended, I've just never seen them. I'm more of a reader than a movie watcher.
I did love the books, though!

I do too. I have read the LOTR trilogys over and over again but never seem to get tired of them.

Thanks for the great pictures! Very refreshing after all day of Kerry and lies.

Even my MIL is buying into some of this c***. She told me today she thinks the Pres. is "saving something" for right before the election. I FINALLY shamed her into backing off that ridiculous notion.

Comment from yesterday; several people said how the Pres. looked upset/worried during his speech in the Rose garden. I think it was because Laura was in New York, potentially in harm's way.

Also . . . forgot this from Rush . . . he said that Terraayyzzaa's team had considered sending her to NY to reassure everyone, but according to her "lead" person, they didn't want to because "it wasn't scripted and sh'ed have to interact with 'real' people." That's from someone who's supposed to be on HER side--LOLOL!

At the beginning of his show, he explained that each interview he does, he attempts to behave in an appropriate manner. He wouldn't talk to his mother the way he spoke to Michael Moore. The First Lady deserves respect.

I think he did a fine job. I've seen him interview many different people and he truly does try to be even handed and fair. He can certainly go overboard (lot of times!). He's got more patience with some of his guests than I would ever display.

They are great stories with a great theme--good beats evil!
If I can be so bold as to suggest, not unlike the situation our country is in...that's why I'm solidly behing our Prez!

Well, I am in quite a bit of pain. I did something to my lower back over the weekend and could barely straighten up. I went to the dr. today and he gave me an injection of cortisone in the area. And, all I did was to bend over to pick up some clothes I had dropped! Wierd, huh!

There is also some flap about the repcipe that was sent in for the First Lady bake off contest. (was it Woman's Day or Ladies Home journal?) I forget.

Teresa is saying that someone on her own staff sabatoged her, and that her first recipe was not edible - or bakeable, or something was not right with it. So a second recipe was sent - the pumpkin Spice cookies.

What a bizarre scenario.

I was thinking that too. how simular it is to what is going on now. And to think this was written over 50 years ago. but the battle between good and evil goes on agew after age.

First of all, you live in the Florida Keys???? I am sooooo jealous! I've always wanted to visit/live there. Endless water, soft beaches, . . . . very unlike Nebraska . . . LOL!

***.I think she intimidated the usually robust and vocal o'Reilley.***

I think he knew he'd look like an absolute doofus if he tried anything really aggressive with her. Good questions and answers, tho!

Lady In Red

by Eric Clapton

:

Lady in Red

I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright
I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance
looking for a little romance given have the chance

I have never seen that dress your wearing
or the highlights in your hair they catch your eyes
i have been blind

Lady in red is dancing with me.. ( cheek to cheek )
Theres nobody here its just you and me
its were i wanna be
I hardly know this beauty by my side
I'll never forget the way you looked tonight

I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright..you were amazing
I've never seen so many people wanting to be there by your side
and when you turned to me and smiled you took my breathe away

i've never had such a feeling such a feeling of complete and utter love
as i do tonight

Lady in red is dancing with me ( cheek to cheek )
Theres nobody here just you and me
its wear i wanna be
I hardly know this beauty by my side
i'll never forget the way you looked tonight

I guess I shouldn't be so harsh and criticle of Bill O'Rielly. But I can't help but feel his arrogance sometimes.
