I Actually Mentioned Bush By Name, Before I Said I Didn't…

I ACTUALLY MENTIONED BUSH BY NAME, BEFORE
I SAID I DIDN'T…

Despite His Claim, Senator Kerry Has Frequently Referred To President Bush
In His Campaign Stops

_________________________________________

CNN's Bill Hemmer: "[President Bush] never refers to you by name. He just says 'my opponent.' How do you refer to him?" Sen. John Kerry: "The President. He's the President. I respect the fact that he's the President. But I don't refer to him. … I don't need to talk about George Bush." (CNN's "American Morning," 8/2/04)

BUT JUST LAST WEEK . . .

Kerry Referred To President Bush By Name On ABC’s “This Week.” KERRY: “Now, I think that is more fiscally conservative than George Bush in this administration. …  I’ve scaled that back already because George Bush has built up an even larger deficit and I’m trying to be realistic about where we are with the deficit.”  (ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” 8/1/04)

On CBS’ “Face The Nation.” KERRY: “All we’re doing is rolling back the tax cut for the wealthiest Americans who earn more than $200,000 a year, and that’s what President Bush is trying to protect.”  (CBS’ “Face The Nation,” 8/1/04)

And On “Fox News Sunday.” KERRY: “I will fight a more effective war on terror, and I will make America safer than George Bush has.”  (Fox's “Fox News Sunday,” 8/1/04)

Kerry Compared Himself To President Bush By Name. "'I have more experience in foreign affairs now than President Bush did before he came and even after four years,' Kerry said." (Deb Riechmann, "Bush, Kerry Scour Rust Belt For Support," The Associated Press, 7/31/04)

Kerry Called President Bush By Name At Campaign Event. "We're going to roll back George Bush's unaffordable tax cut for the wealthiest Americans and invest in health care and education, and deficit reduction in America."  (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At Campaign Event, Greensburg, PA, 7/31/04)

Kerry Referred To President Bush By Name In His Address To Democrat National Convention. "I want to address these next words directly to President George W. Bush."  (Sen. John Kerry, Remarks At Democrat National Convention, Boston, MA, 7/29/04)

Kerry Criticized President Bush By Name. "'I will and I can fight a more effective war on terror than George Bush is,' Kerry said."  (Scott Kraus, "Kerry Revs Up Supporters In Philadelphia," [Allentown, PA] Morning Call, 7/28/04)

Kerry Addressed President Bush Directly. ''Now, President Bush - I'm not here to be critical, but I am here to be comparative - he's had four years to offer Americans a plan, and there is none.''  (Jodi Wilgoren, "Kerry Visit To Fenway Is Changeup In Schedule," The New York Times, 7/26/04)

Kerry Says He Can Do Better Job Than President Bush.  "'I think I can do a better job than George Bush,' Kerry said."  (Adam Nagourney, "Kerry Hopes To Gain Edge On Terror," The International Herald Tribune, 7/26/04)

"But I don't refer to him. … I don't need to talk about George Bush."

Is he kidding? That's all he talks about.

Old FlipFlop is consistent in one way. Consistently lying.

Well, he has mentioned that he was in Vietnam...
But you knew that.

The Headline should be...I referred to GW Bush as"President" before i didn't.

I'm thinking that President Bush should use this in the debates.
"Sen. Kerry....notice I refer to you as "Senator", in respect for the title to which you were elected. "

All the media will do is wait for Kerry to refer or not refer to the President as "President" Bush.

Does this guy ever tell the truth?

Other than that one time he told a blushing and sweaty-palmed Edwards that the latter "looked awfully cute in those nice tight slacks..." :)

I think Kerry must not even bother to listen to himself either.

SeeBS Radio News just reported that the Bush website has posted Kerry's speech. This is now considered a dirty trick?

This is now considered a dirty trick?

By the main stream media? Of course!

The Doing Nothin' Constructive party and their media lapdogs remind me of little old ladies who, at the smallest provocation, run around flapping their hands screaming -

"I'm SO offended!"

Good one.
I want to see him beat in a bloodbath.
Never-mind a landslide. A bloodbath.

Really? You're an United States Senator, who's been out of office for more than 80% of the year, and you have more experience in foreign affairs than the current PRESIDENT? I find this VERY difficult to believe - unless he's counting the times he's porked ol Tay-rAY-za as "foreign affairs".

I'll bet Kerry was wishing he could just say "shove it" and show that neither of them have any class.

During the 2000 election I was certain algore was the worst candidate I have ever seen. Kerry might turn out to be even more disgusting.

Didn't Kerry just say - LAST NIGHT - that "Bush sent the goons over" to his rally in Milwaukee. How stupid does he think we are? Answer: he's only trying to hoodwink 51% of the population, the other 49%, who cares?
