The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Police Secure Businesses on Terror Alert
NEW YORK - Police searched trucks, blocked streets and posted machine-gun toting officers outside financial landmarks Monday, a day after the government's chilling warning that terrorists might target the buildings with bombs.

Translation and analysis

Greetings.

Thanks for sending this. It's a on-peage religious flyer ("A Journey without a Return")

Akin to Christian evangelicals' exhortation.admonition that "your ticket to heaven/paradise awaits you if you read God's book (in this case, al-Quran) and (follow the Sunnah) do good things in this life, etc....."

Drawing in upper left corner is generic Islamic symbolism = curved roof of mosque and flanked by two minaret towers.

Regards,

Thanks for this. It's still a sobering translation in light of the use of the airplane drawing and reference to "a journey without a return".

I agree. BTW the guy who looked at it has many years in the ME training their police and CI types.

Follow-up

Greetings again.

The diagram might suggest an aircraft strike against the Olympics, but the text is overall pretty bland.

That said, however, at this point, I would not discount anything about possible hits against the Olympics.

The security arrangements by the Greek government are shoddy and wobbly. Since, as I understand, the "airspace region" there is tightly controlled and monitored, my bet would be on a vehicle-borne IED (gas truck, fuel tanker bomb and the like) attack against the more-accessible athletes' housing areas, not the stadia and other venues of the events.

Regards,

Yup. I re read his "christian jihadist" post.

He's missed the boat on a few issues. I'll be posting a response to them shortly.

You were right, I was wrong. Thanks for making me look at it more thoroughly.

"All of the minarets I have ever seen have been pointed not square"

Yeah - me too.

"Drawing in upper left corner is generic Islamic symbolism = curved roof of mosque and flanked by two minaret towers."

As he said ... it is a "generic Islamic symbolism".

And as this is a religious propaganda flyer it seems to me good marketing on the author of the flyers part. i.e., rule 1. Get prospects attention before delivering your message.

As aircraft and buildings in the same graphic are in the collective consciousness of the majority of the worlds muslims (and ours) - what a great attention grabber. Not to mention the play on words "journey without a return". Great marketing attention getter.

As for his take on the building - I will go with his read - because it was his business as a professional. ";^)

What percentage of Muslims ascribe to radical Wahhabist beliefs? I don't know. I am sorting through my notes for the name of a man I saw on Fox Friday; he gave an alarming number that I do not want to repeat until I can check further to make sure I do not misquote his opinion.

If it's the same man I saw on Fox, it's Kamal Nawash, and his belief is that the figure is closer to 50%, rather than the 10% that is often stated...is that what you heard?

"God is compassionate and merciful whether your mouth says "God", "Dios", or "Allah". If the terrorists believed that, they would think twice whether killing women and children is "merciful". But it is true nonetheless - - no matter how you say it."

God and allah are not the same. Look at the evidence that you provide in this statement. The terrorists don't believe that because allah is NOT merciful or compassionate. Remember they can't leave islam under pain of death. I, as an infidel, must submit or die.

"And I am only saying what Billy (not Franklin) Graham said in the past.

We worship the same God."

If he said this, he is wrong. He hasn't studied islam.

"If David Koresh said that "Jesus" told him to rape little girls and set everyone on fire, that does not mean there is a problem with Jesus/Y'shua/Issa. The problem was with Koresh."

You must be some kind of federal drone or liberal to believe this. More propaganda.

"If certain Muslims, say "Allah" has told them to kill all infidels, including innocent women and children, the problem is not with "Allah", it is with the killers who justify their crimes in his Name."

The problem is that the koran tells them to do this. How can you possibly blame the believer for doing what allah tells them to do? They are following instructions WRT infidels. Read it yourself.

"I know Christ personally, and we are called to redeem, not destroy."

Evil is not redeemable. Remember what Jesus did to the moneychangers in the temple? What do you think he'd do in an abortion clinic?

"If you knew Him, you would understand."

Now we get to the heart of it. Self righteousness. The single greatest cause of war.

"We can and will act in self defense, but a declaration of war against an entire religion (instead of a small, deviant strain as the 9/11 Commission calls it - "political Islam") such a war is a "holy war"."

It sure is. It needs to be declared on this side, as it has been on theirs. I've got doubts about the commissions knowledge about Christianity, never mind islam. This is the third time in a thousand years that islam has tried to take over the world.

"Do not tell Christians who speak Arabic that they worship "Satan"."

I don't know what you're POSSIBLY thinking here. That's mutually exclusive on the face of it.

"If you know your scriptures, Christ taught there is only one sin that is unforgivable."

Denial of the holy spirit. What's your point?

"And if you believe it is our mission to kill all Muslims."

No, it is our mission to defend ourselves and protect each other.

"Then, my friend, you are a holy warrior, a follower of jihad.
And it is just as evil."

No, jihad is an islamic term. It's not a Christian term. There is no Christian concept remotely similar to "jihad". Exactly what is your problem with fighting evil on all levels? How does fighting evil make one evil? Was Jesus evil because he stood up to the evil of a stoning, or got angry in the temple?

"As President Bush says and believes, Islam is a religion of peace."

If he actually believes that, he's wrong, but smart enough to learn the truth. OTOH, your perceptions are so crooked that I don't welcome you speaking for my President.

"Those who hate all Muslims simply because they are Muslims are no better than those who hate all Christians because they are Christians."

Your position on hatred is misdirected. It's not about hating muslims but about fighting evil. OTOH, islam hates infidels, because allah told them to.

"The last Holy War lasted three centuries. And none of them acted very "holy"."

You better wake up here. The "last holy war" hasn't ended yet. It's been going on for more than a thousand years. Submit or die.

"If this is what the board has become (Christian jihadis), I'll take my leave.
This is the recipe for apocalypse."

If you are the Christian you claim to be, then you would've figured the truth out by now. This IS the recipe for the apocolypse, and it's not of our doing. Learn your prophecy.

There are too many people here with major time and effort invested in this board to tolerate your self righteous judgemental BS.

Tell your story walking.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. You've wasted enough time already.

Kamal Nawash

http://www.freemuslims.org/ is his website

I think the 50% vs 10% he refered to was the number of muslims that would welcome the downfall of America not specifically Wahhabist.

This always makes me think about how in the second world war, German clergymen were blessing their troops and praying for victory, whilst in Britain and America, the clergy were doing the same. The problem is, God doesn't see us separated into the national groups we define ourselves by. "At this Peter opened his mouth and said: "For a certainty I percieve that God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him. (Acts 10:34,35.) It's a very complicated issue, and one where patriotism and nationalism confuse matters.

ABC has possession of the targeting video taken in 1997 by the goblins.

I'm glad you mentioned ABC, because it reminded me of something I just read last night, in the book Terrorist Hunter

The author was talking about a satellite phone that was purchased by an American citizen Ziyad Khalil. I'll quote directly here from the book:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What was the deal with that phone? It turned out that ABC News was seeking a personal interview with Bin Laden in 1998. They contacted Khalid al-Fawwaz, Bin Laden's aide in Britain. Al-Fawwaz referred them to a Mr. Tariq Hamdi in Washington. ABC then wrote a letter addressed to Mohammed Atef -- Bin Laden's senior military commander -- as a follow-up request for the interview. The letter referred to their previous communications through Hamdi, whom Atef, it seemed, knew well. When the interview was set up, Hamdi traveled with the ABC News crew to Afghanistan. On May 17, 1998, upon his arrival in Pakistan, Hamdi faxed a personal message to al-Fawwaz telling him that they'd arrived safely and that things were going according to plan. What plan? Ziyad Khalil bought the phone. It was a special purchase for Usama Bin Laden himself. He then bought the battery, but there was a problem getting it easily to Afghanistan. What better way to do so than to have ABC News arrange -- and pay for -- Hamdi's trip, enabling him to deliver this battery personally?
"So what's the big deal? you may ask. So what if Hamdi delivered some battery to Bin Laden?
"The big deal is that this specific battery powered the satellite phone Bin Laden used to personally give the order to blow up the embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
"The big deal is that a man who worked with Sami al-Arian made the embassy bombings possible, with an able assist from ABC News."
end quote (I underlined some parts of this, but all other emphasis was original to the book)
~~~~~~~~~~~~

So once again, our fifth column friends in the media get themselves mixed up in situations that are causing outright tragedies for our country!

And if anyone wants to read a fascinating book, this one is it. Highly recommended!

They're said to be of middle eastern descent and traveling in a green sport utility vehicle without license plates. One may have a British accent.

People like this disappearing into America's woodwork are scary enough in and of themselves. Where are the national alerts on this? Our media should be constantly reminding people to be vigilant about sighting them and reporting them to authorities - instead there is NOTHING.

America is filled with roads that can harbor terrorists, homeless people and illegal immigrants on state lands, national forest roads, logging roads, etc. They can live in their vehicles and bathe in streams, making little, if any, public contact until they are good and ready to do so. Park personnel have been reduced or in many cases eliminated all over the country, enabling this situation.

Perhaps not Wahhabist themselves, but if the number of moslems in the US who would welcome the downfall of this country approaches anywhere near 50%, this is not good.

It's a much higher number of people than the 10% that we usually hear quoted, who are considered violent radicals.

If 50% of that population condones violence against the country they have chosen to live in, it's beyond the pale.
