People like this disappearing into America's woodwork are scary enough in and of themselves. Where are the national alerts on this? Our media should be constantly reminding people to be vigilant about sighting them and reporting them to authorities - instead there is NOTHING.
America is filled with roads that can harbor terrorists, homeless people and illegal immigrants on state lands, national forest roads, logging roads, etc. They can live in their vehicles and bathe in streams, making little, if any, public contact until they are good and ready to do so. Park personnel have been reduced or in many cases eliminated all over the country, enabling this situation.
I saw this on the news for one day only. The local news in this area is busy dogging Bush and the local newspapers are busy printing AP articles about the bad economy. Pathetic indeed! The people in Scranton are busy with Kerry as their hero while terrorist scope out their "electric City". Pathetic.
Many in our country suffer from short term memory, many are liberal democrats. Until jihadists attempt broad terrorist attacks, the general American has a live and let live attitude. The good news is that many of these incidents are going out to LEOs via BOLOs. The next step would to announce it via an Amber alert style system. However, the political will to do so is absent because PC. Be a Lert because America needs more lerts.
