I agree: presenting in prime-time three of the Democratic Party's has-been's is not exactly an "elect me" endorsement. Their party benches are bare and apart from Barack Obama, they have no rising talent. The Democrats are not as unified and confident as they appear. Their rank and file is anti-war and hate Bush and they nominated a ticket that represents the opposite of their true feelings. The party and the messenger aren't in sync. They had to hide who they were and their real beliefs and pretending to be fake Republicans got them a negative bounce. Big surprise.

Dittos on that point. The media would carp less about a 'divided American' if it was 58/42 and not 51/49.

So every vote counts!

Yes! This is what I have been saying all along. That by the weekend/Monday Kerry would be down and Bush would be up!

My prediction was four of five points down for Kerry.

"The people saw the convention and are scared s**tless over what they saw."

As they say in Spanish, "Ojala que si." (I hope so)

Is this similar to the blinding darkness that emanated from the Fleet Ceneter in Boston last week?

In years past, CNN and other MediaWhores...By quietly easing up on their normal propaganda, they help her and they also give the (false) appearance of finally showing concern about the growing criticism about the bias.

I suspect, you are correct. :/

I wondered too. The approval rating is not even reported in the Gallup article. Maybe they did not ask, since the purpose was to measure the bump.

Laurie Dhue mentioned the CNN Poll on the Fox Report this (Sunday) afternoon. It was the only poll she mentioned.

Regardless of the numbers, though, you always play like you're behind.

You'll also probably remember that Elizabeth Edwards made a point of telling that DNC that she and John celebrate their anniversaries at Wendy's. So why the sudden affection for the #3 burger joint? It's an Ohio institution, and founder Dave Thomas is beloved in that state...By trying to identify themselves with Wendy's, they hope to endear themselves to OH voters. http://www.nationalreview.com/thecorner/corner.asp -------------------
