Ooh Rah! What Marines Think of Kerry....
Ok, I was looking at Google news, and saw this story. Here is what a Marine allegedly said about Kerry interrupting his meal at a Wendy's restaurant earlier Friday...
Now, I wonder why the major press didn't cover this angle.. Hmmm.. I mean I did see the Wendy's clip but none showed Marines that I saw, how about you?
From: http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/nation/2711258
"A sparse crowd showed up at a morning rally in Boston to begin the 21-state tour. On board were the Kerry family, the Edwards family and an entourage."
"Kerry joined them inside and spied a table of Marines. But when he struck up a conversation, the Marines answered tersely and expressed irritation.
"He imposed on us and I disagree with him coming over here to shake our hands," said one, who did not give his name."
*************
Maybe the Marines should of told Kerry to "Shove It,!!!!"
Who knows, maybe they did...
Sounds like my Marine Corps is in Fine shape... Semper Fi Marines!
Oh, sparse crowd.... Gee, I guess we will see a whole lot of closeups instead of wide shots on this tour.
You see, that's a popular press trick. When you want to pretend there are a lot of people around, you zoom in closely instead of a wide shot, so watch the press shots of Kerry in the coming days and see if they are closeups of him and the stage cronies, or wide shots of the crowd area... It can be quite a fun experiment to see how different press use footage...
Maybe that is why the press ran the inside shots of the Wendy's and then the tops of the buses instead of the sparse sendoff in Boston This Morning.
Regards,
Joe

"I'm thinking about a boob job? What do you think?"
The Sergeant is standing at attention, while jfk points to his ribbons. It is appropriate for the Sgt. to be at attention while being addressed by a US Senator, even if he disagree with him.
The sitting Marine really tells the story. IF GWB had entered, ALL the Marines would have to come to attention, as GWB is the CIC. But after that there would be group photos, with GWB having his arms around the Marines. A very popular saying is, "if you talk the talk you better walk the walk" (i.e., actions speak louder than words)...and GWB "walks the walk" when dealing with the military. All the time, and it is sincere not contrived or photo ops only. Military guys can spot a phony a mile away, and usually express it in their actions, but not in a way to get themselves in trouble. (Witness the Sgt. at attention, the other Marine sitting.)

Screw Kerry,
John Kerry said Friday he would put Osama bin Laden on trial in U.S. courts rather than an international tribunal to ensure the 'fastest, surest route' to a murder conviction if the terrorist mastermind is captured while he is president. (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert) AP - 11 hours, 49 minutes ago
Let the slime be killed by the hands of a marine. That is the "surest route". Sheesh, if he was judged by a Clinton appointee, we would probably win a settlement from the US for harrassment, and set free.
Blessings, Bobo
If Bush had been dressed down by a bunch of Marines like this you can darn well bet it would be all over the news.
And Michael Moore would pay top dollar for the footage.
I guess it's not news that the military loathes Kerry and loves Bush, so the media has to focus on the rare occassions where the situation is reversed.
And that is the analogy of the day, now isn't it.
That photo should be put in front of every single military person as a reminder of what Kerry thinks about the military.
Great Comment.

Joe

Now what we need is the video of this and get some t-shirts made-up.abc has it - saw some of the video of this event on Sunday on Steponallofus's show - at the time first Edwards appeared to have stepped over to where the Marines were all at that time seated; the Sargeant must have stood up when Lurch moved in for a photo op ...
