Edwards is getting skewered for his almost grinning taunt to AlQaeda ... Howard Fineman notes if that's the best the Dems have got then the US will decide "we need Dick Cheney". Andrea Mitchell notes that it's impossible for Edwards to say anything and come across seriously because he's so young and Scarborough cracks a joke about how AlQaeda cannot take "the Breck Girl" seriously. Meanwhile on CNN lib gal laments Edwards came across as a slick "game show host" and "Jr." by any comparison.
Now the rest of the country is finding out what we North Carolinians have known for a while.
If they are trying to get the undecided vote by copying the president regarding Al Qaeda, what does that tell you?
Edward's speach was the most "plastic banana rama" gig I have ever heard. He managed to make Clinton look like a "Statesman".

He promised more money, more hope, more happiness. He did not promise that we would be alive to enjoy those things.
Kerry and Kennedy and Clinton spent the last 8-20 years doing their best to avoid confronting the gathering storm that hit us on 9/11.

Make a commercial about the storm coming from the east...with the Dems laughing and hiding impeachmemnt papers and cigars...show the hit on the WTC...show families crying around the TV (like we all did)...remind them who went into action.
I watched a few minutes of Little Johhny's speech and he was "NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME"!! My gosh...even his MOTHER knew he isn't ready!
On MNSNBC they were also commenting on how the election primaries started with Dean and the Anti War crowd and how this speech of Edwards just kicked these folks to the side

On FNC they cut to Carl Cameron out in the crowd and he was showing some signs that the crowd had...and he made note of...and the camera showed......how American Flags that the Dem convention goers had were just tossed on the ground.
I guess the dems thought that once the Networks were done....there was no more need to show pride in the USA.

The big difference is it was believable when W said it. John-Boy looked like he was about to start giggling.
His Al queda talk was brief. Mostly it was class warfare and a hope or excitement for the future. Fir anyone that uses emotion, he will do well.
