Damn straight it was...for 3 years these 'putrid' and 'perfect bastards' have been fighting the president on the war on terror and now, just now they make a statement like that.

The reason W is believable when he said it is because he actually MEANS what he says, and then does what he says. Novel idea.
Almost everybody knows these people will say anything to win power. Therefore, very little truth escapes their lips.
I didn't watch his speech. I keep seeing these funny little subtitles in my head. "PHONEY, LIES and more LIES, really really PHONEY, aspiring ACTOR, totally out of touch with reality!!" And that's in the first 10 seconds. I think my record so far is 45 seconds before I have to turn it off.
