The campaign of Sen. John Kerry yesterday accused NASA of leaking a widely circulated photo that shows the candidate wrapped from top to bottom in a baby blue "bunny suit," implying that it was a "dirty trick."
One campaign official told The Washington Times last night: "All I can say is it was not an authorized release."
But the National Aeronautics and Space Administration told Fox News that the Kerry team saw the photos before publication and passed on their release.
A NASA spokesman told the top-rated cable network that the images were given to the Kerry campaign to review before several were posted on the Kennedy Space Center Web site.
In no way were photographs "leaked," the spokesman said.
But campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill said in an interview with Fox, "This was a leaked photo."
She said the campaign never was told that the photographs, which are drawing ridicule and comparison with the Michael Dukakis "tank" photo on the Internet and talk radio, would be taken during a campaign stop at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

pandering to the gay comunity
We have learned a few things from this. He has no organizational capability - just look at the flubs in his campaign. He cannot find trustworthy advisors and aids - even Carter wasn't smart enough to run the whole country by himself. He has no sense of humor. He/she is a wimp (did Cheney back down? Did Bush? All she had to do was say the jerk of a reporter was being a jerk of a reporter and who was gonna argue with her - none of us for sure).
The most frightening, however, is that he and is people are plain dumb. They lack even the most basic common sense or taste.
LOL! :^D
No photographs at KSC?? Yeah, right!!! If you believe that I have some swampland I can sell you in Alaska!!
"Bunny-Gate"?
And there you have it. Others wear clean suits and they're not ridiculed, but Kerry is so ridiculous in each and every one of his get-ups that the nation world laughs.
Somebody over there must be reading Free Republic lol
Oh, you thought the Patriot Act was a great idea?
Just wait 'til a cur is in office...
Picture please?
I'd like a side-by-side of two Hoss' in bunnysuits...
Yes, but they weren't running for office nor having their pictures taken with a grin on their face that looks just like a rabbit.
The Democrats are suffering this because they made the decision to hold a "no new news" political convention.
The photo is hilarious. Not quite as laughable as Kerry himself, but still funny. If Kerry had any sense at all politically, he'd join in mocking it.
Americans appreciate self deprecating humor, just ask the President.
But at its core, the liberal mindset can't accept anyone laughing at "its" expense.
It seems that when the media gets a story that is critical of Republicans it is just good investigative journalism. The Democrats seem to think that any story (or photo) that is critical of them is a leak. Hmmmmmmmm. . . . .
In other words, the Democrats are inadvertantly confessing to their relationship with the major media; they believe that the media doesn't investigate Democrats; they think critical stories are only the result of the vast right wing conspiracy 'leaking' stories and photos.
John 'hasenpfeffer' Kerry...
(Any German speakers know if 'hasenfüßig' is still slang for 'chicken hearted'?)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!
As far as I am concerned the democrats can go straight to hell.
I do not like the democrats.
I do not respect the democrats.
I already know all I need to know about the democrats.
If every democrat went to hell today, I would say , "Good for theUnited States and bad for Satan."
The idiot needs a course in firearms safety. Keep your finger OFF THE TRIGGER until you are ready to shoot! What a bonehead!
Sorry, I looked and couldn't find one....
Kind of reminds me of the Saturday Night Live parody when Jimmuh Cartuh went into the core of the nuclear reactor during a meltdown. It was caused by the Pepsi Syndrome.
