Kerry just flubbed the opening pitch at the Yanks-Sox game
ESPN | 7/25/04 | me

Kerry just 'threw' out the opening pitch at the Boston-Yankees game. Just saw Kerry pitch a really weak opening pitch, well short of the plate, bouncing under the catcher. What a poser!

ESPN is biased when it comes to sports also. They are pro Yankees (I am an Oriole fan), pro Duke (I am also a Terp fan), and pro Cowboys (I am a Ravens fan). So it is tough to watch ESPN, especially when cold pizza is on. That show is so unwatchable!

Manny Ortiz just got a base hit. David Ramirez is coming up.

ESPN replayed the toss. Lets be fair, I replayed in on tivo several times. The ball hit the ground beyond the plate be before it reached the catcher's mit.

Did you hear him mistakenly identify the umpires as "refs?" What an absolute talentless idiot he is.***

Did he really say that?! I apologize for doubting you, but this is almost impossible to believe! I hope the RNC gets that video for the "best of" collection.

ESPN now kissing up to future Democrat politician Affleck. He is talking smack about A-rod. Hey Ben, A-rod's baseball talent is about 100 times better than your acting talent. He makes more in a year than Gigli netted.

I tried to avoid listening to his yapping, but did he say something about A-Rod yelling at him or something? If so, good for A-Rod!

Reminds me of the "Bif Tanner" character, his ancestor "Mad Dog", and his grandson, from the "Back to The Future" series. A slacker, and a loser.

Maybe Kerry thought it was going to be a waffle- I mean wiffle ball game. Imagine his shock to arrive and find out the only plastic bats involved in this game were Katie Couric and the one he brought along for himself, Tereeeza.

The umps just robbed the Yankees of at least one run now, though. Sheesh

The ump called it right. Jeter screwed up by running to first inside the baseline.

Thanks for the ping! We met family at Outback tonight and my daughter nudged me during dinner to look at the tv on in the corner. There we saw John Kerry with a headset on--we couldn't hear of course--and it looked like he must be getting interviewed. It did not thrill us, to say the least.

Well, now we hear about the opening pitch and BOOS?

That is amazing and a relief since I was afraid he would pull off being acceptable somehow. Guess not.

It's a form. At the bottom of espn.com, there is a contact link. When you click that, you'll see a list of options. Choose ESPN TV and fill out the form.

Bear in mind, however, that they are part of the Disney/ABC go! network, so any replies might be worth posting here. ;)
