Absolutely true.
They're all crooks, and the Founding Fathers died for nothing.
I am not so sure about that, but I am sure beginning to wonder.
This story has been given the order from above to be buried. Only Republican scandals may be reported on.,,, Makes me sick.
What evidence do you base your statements on?
Even a basic search shows plenty of coverage, although not all of it is from an unbiased point of view.
Why isn't Berger in jail?
we must stay on this....
So, he was observed stuffing notes in his socks by the monitor(s) and from what I understand, he was allowed to walk out without any confrontation. If that was the case, why even have monitors or any security at all if someone can just walk in, stuff their clothing full of materials and walk out?
The conclusion I come to is collusion between archives security and someone "powerful" on the outside.
Notifying the FBI after the fact and setting up a "sting" was only to cover their a** after the documents that needed destruction were already dispatched to "document heaven".
I agree. But I'm inclined to look in the direction of Gorelick.
My thoughts exactly. Ashcroft is AWOL on this.
****
I am not so sure about that, but I am sure beginning to wonder
I knew I shouldn't quite go that far. I should have said, "They're nearly all crooks, and the Founding Fathers died for about 200 years of success, only to see the country decay under socialist/communist influences.
And, those who think the Cold War is over and that wee won it are NUTS. The Cold War is still going on, and the commies and socialist are nearly in complete control of academia and the media and the influential entertainment industry. They WON, not the good guys.
There are FEW good guys any longer.
It is a sorry shame and, I for one, am disgusted.
Berger MUST go to jail, for a long time! The arrogance of this pilfering is amazing. And if someone doesn't stand up to this, you will know that that is a last and sure sign that this country is dead.
If you don't think Berger should be behind bars perhaps you should go to the Archives and walk out with the Declaration of Independence.
I hadn't considered Gorelick. She would definitely have an interest in this matter.
Couldn't they have just done THEIR JOB (leaving, per Berger's 'request' doesn't sound like a spiffy job to me.)
It was actually his sock garters.
Lawyers love word games.
What you said.
Much of the Watergate scandal took several years to become known. Eventually, over sixty people were convicted of crimes.
Berger is not yet off the hook. A federal judge who wished to coerce Berger into talking could probably sentence him for a period amounting to life in prison.
Although reports contend that Lindsey was called, the result was that Berger was asked to return documents.
There is then reason to believe that Berger again stole documents. At this time the NA may have realized that something even more serious was happening. It's possible that the FBI got the new call. Perhaps the FBI was involved intially and asked the NA to call Lindsay. After using the nefarious Patriot Act to begin monitoring phone lines.
Recall that the perjury trap set for Clinton involved a certain blue dress and DNA testing. Nevertheless, Starr's folks DID unravel the conspiracy to obstruct justice in the Paula Jones case. There were plenty of crimes to prosecute and plenty of criminals.
It's possible that a grand jury has been gathering evidence since late last year. Many people may have already testified to this grand jury. There could be a number of indictments for security crimes or perjury just around the corner.
We may discover that, just as with Watergate, the perpetrators just can't believe that they are not smart enough to contain the damage.
Thanks for your thoughtful answer, I was just venting!
What are you referring to re:Lindsey
And you do realize that most of your post was mere conjecture. Do you actually know of a grand jury?
While more significant, this won't receive a fraction of the impetuous provided by THE MEDIA during Watergate...and therein lies the rub. The sheeple may or may not make the right decision at election time (both choices advance socialism though). The fact that we are teetering on the edge with momentum taking us continually toward the drain illustrates the inevitability of the Republics demise.
Big stories like the "AWOL" scandal redux. Isn't that amazing btw? Nothing new happened in the last four years since the last election to make it relevent other than the DNC wanted to talk about it again and the media MADE it a story.
Wouldn't you love to see the big alphabetters like Rather seated in the interviewee chair and asked, "How do you justify keeping the 30-year-old military service records of President Bush as a story in the news for months while not reporting on Clinton's National Security advisor allegedly stealing/tampering with top secret documents from the National Archives during a time of risk of terrorism on our soil and while he is appointed the top national security advisor to the Democratic presidential presumptive nominee?"
If only life were like that.
For someone who was an inadvertent, bumbling, sloppy, dope, he sure acted with laser-like precision...
