Breaking: Police seal building housing Kerry campaign (bio-scare)
Associated Press ^ | July 22, 2004 | staff

Police sealed off the office building that houses Sen. John Kerry's headquarters on Thursday after a package with white powder was opened by campaign staff.

Kerry, D-Mass., and his vice presidential running mate, Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., were hundreds of miles away, campaigning their way toward next week's Democratic National Convention.

"An envelope was opened and white powder fell out," said campaign spokeswoman Debra DeShong. "On the recommendation of the Secret Service, we contacted the local police who are here investigating."

The Nazis had to go to all the trouble of setting fire to the Reichstag.

All the RATs need is a pound of confectioner's sugar.

Yawn. clintbilly received a "suspicious" mailing in Harlem as well.

It turned out to be mold or something equally disgusting.

Sounds to me like the pompous pompadour is grasping for attention since the sand burglar is sucking up oxygen.

Did you see him today? He is freshly botoxed, tanned and UGLY as ever.

I haven't seen him today but I figured he was off for a lift of some sort. He's really something, he's on vacation from the Senate so he can job hunt, but that's so tiring he has to take some more time off.

[Kerry, D-Mass., and his vice presidential running mate, Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., were hundreds of miles away..]

Did they have their hands all over each other like they usually do?

Actually, when the cameras are off, they have to be seperately caged like male Peacocks.

Gee, this sure is suspicious timing. I mean, are they trying to divert attention or to evoke sympathy or something -- just before the RAT convention? Very suspicious.

I'd like to see the Bushies cal their bluff. Say to Kerry: "OK, we may have a problem here. Your people have been evacuated. The buiding is secured. Only we can get in. We'll let you know when it is safe to return. Only doing our job for national security. We'll get back to ya".

"Police sealed off the office building that houses Sen. John Kerry's headquarters on Thursday..."

Just to point out the obvious, but you don't seal off a building with all of the staffers stuck inside if you suspect a bio-attack.

Though that's what was done today by the *FBI*.

On the other hand, if you want a good cover story to hide the fact that you've just performed a search for top secret national security documents (ala Sandy Berger) that won't have an impact on a political campaign if it turns up negative, then pretending to have an anthrax attack is a pretty clever way to hold a full building search.

I bet it's sneakier than that.
What if this is to "convince" the mindless sheep that terrorists fear -Kerry- getting elected?

We've had "attack practices" here. It's a "get the stuff off" as a first measure. They were hosing people off during the practice.

I suppose the agreement was: "Just don't hose us down. This is a new dress and I just had my hair done". "Don't worry, we'll make it look good but you won't get your hair messed up". "Thanks, I'll tell the girls".
