HOLLYWOOD--It might have been the first premiere not intended for the public: John Kerry topping the credits and John Edwards in a supporting role, the cast rounded out by A-list actors who hopped into the fund-raising limelight to prostrate themselves at the feet of the most culturally liberal presidential ticket in history.
After Whoopi Goldberg wowed the Democratic crowd with locker-room musings on the alternate meaning of our president's name and Mr. Kerry scooped up a foot locker full of entertainers' cash, eyes were rolling outside New York's Radio City Music Hall. Somewhere in a La-La Land far, far away, in Hollywood and across the outlying Valley hamlets, everyday actors, writers, directors, producers and crew members dreamed of the day when the world would see that not everyone in the entertainment business lives to choke--gag--on his own foot.
These minorities, these aliens too often undocumented, these artists sorely underrepresented at loudmouthed fund-raising galas are better known as Hollywood Republicans.

My cousin, Barrett Swatek, is a gorgeous actress out there who used to have a recurring role on 7th Heaven.
One appearance on the Sean Hannity Show and she was unceremoniously written out of the show. She's had trouble finding work ever since.
But, she's held true to her values and remained a staunch Republican supporter.
Talk about a metaphor - deny your convictions and we'll make you a star.
There. That's better. BTW, Office Space is a very funny movie.
Talk about stifiling first amendment rights. Hollywood is way up there.
Found that TPS report yet?...lol
Now THAT is sad. 7th Heaven is supposed to be a Christian based, family orientented show. I think I've watched my last episode after hearing that. I would like to send an email to the powers that be, asking why she was unceremonously dumped after appearing on H and C.
Tell your cousin to hang in there. Hopefully, the tide is changing.
Not only was it an offensive plot-swerve (my wife stopped watching with me after that, don't blame her a bit), it was just plain stupid and totally non-credible. Might as well have titled that episode, "I Want To Be The Toast Of Hollwood Parties!" Totally straight girl, LOVES Zander, LOVES Oz... then poof! I'm "gay"! Right.
Ditto Ivanova on B5. But that's another story.

I don't see people standing in line knocking each other over to see Chevy Chase do you? What has he done lately except jump on the bandwagon to knock President Bush? Just wants some face time. Another FADING, AGING actor trying to maintain his youth as he is being smothered by all the talented, handsome upcoming comics and actors.
I'm the one who sent them the info on LeeAnn Tweeden. :)
Oh, he's got the TPS reports. He just forgot the cover sheet. Send him that memo again! He must be having a case of the Mondays!
In Whedon's defense, though, he was also the creator and writer of Firefly. One of the best written Sci-Fi series to have come out. It was very centered on self-reliance and operating under the radar of Big Government.
Um, yeah, I'm gonna need you to, um, go ahead and come in on Sunday too...
I believe you're looking for this?
Very gorgeous actress. I liked her portrayal of her character on 7th Heaven and it disturbs me that she was written out for being on Hannity's show.
Sorry guys, can't continue this discussion. I'm headed to my job as a waitress and gotta find my "flair".
Hah!
I suspected this. Another reason to watch one of my all time favorite actors.
That episode was very creative, to tell a story with no dialogue. I agree that Joss didn't know what to do with religion (early episodes show Buffy wearing a cross-Angel burns himself on it embracing her in one-but it was dropped later) and that his making Willow gay was pretty stupid.
If "the Body" is the episode where Buffy's mom dies, then I agree that that was really great writing as well.
Yes, you have both episodes right. "Once More...With Feeling" was the musical episode. :)
