A few minutes ago I posted here about Linda Ronstadt. No swearing, no personal insults. Other posters here viciously attacked and insulted Ronstadt, their posts remain. My post got deleted within minutes. Are you guys really that scared? I believe in free speech and the exchange of opinions, obviously you don't. Mr Robinson, answer me: on what basis was my post deleted? I almost feel compelled to post on various other websites how I doubled up laughing about the cowardice on display here. Again, show me your courage please, cheers from the Leftist Dutchman!

Is that a Manx? He/she has very strong and beautiful legs. I know a person who has a Manx and he claims the cat can jump 10 feet vertically from a still position.

Actually, he's a purebred Maine Coon, just over a year old. We got him two months ago as a rescue cat...his fur was horribly matted, he was badly underfed and just 9 pounds, neglected in general. That picture was taken about a month later, after he'd gained a little weight and his fur had started to grow back out. He's looking much better now, though his fur is still another couple months from reaching full Maine Coon length. His tail was amputated when he was a kitten after it was caught and crushed in a door, so we were told. So we call him a "Manx Coon." :)

And yes, he's a very fast, strong cat, as we keep finding out every time we have to give him the oral antibiotic eyedropper! He doesn't like to jump a whole lot, but he is blindingly quick on the ground. His favorite activity is chasing a laser pointer dot, and boy, he can accelerate and corner when he's really into it.

This is our other cat, Livingston, he's also a year-old Maine Coon about 7 weeks younger than Beauregard. Bo's fur will someday (we hope) be this long.

Ohhhh what a heartwarming story! It's so wonderful that you were able to rescue that kitty... it's so sad and upsetting when people throw away their purebred pets, you just know that they only bought them to have a "living trophy". I love Maine Coons... they're soooo big and warm and fuzzy. :o) Both your Maine Coon furbabies are regular beauties. :o)

You came here and asked for debate. You objected when some people just mocked you instead, but your subsequent actions showed that to be the correct course of action. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and attempted to enter rational discourse with you. You didn't reply to me, but made a comment about not debating people who don't already share your beliefs on health care. Newsflash...if you demand a priori that people accept your positions, it won't be a debate. You objected to the mocking you got. But not only was it exactly what you personally deserved, it is what people like you all deserve. I have never met an intellectually honest and rigorous leftist. You love slogans, and recoil from honest debate. And I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but you personally have exhausted my patience. In the breeder's defense, she didn't exactly throw him away...she wound up with more than she could handle and had the good sense to call for help before she wound up as a featured guest on Animal Cops. :-) Beau's an absolute sweetheart despite having minimal human contact for the first year of his life - he's never been picked up and tends to panic if you try, but loves to sleep on my lap upside down with his paws tucked up against his chest. Very trusting, considering what he's been through, and Really Darn Cute.
