Cool!
I was out wandering past teh local golf course and collecting golf balls shot 'out of bounds' that no-one bothered recovering..
..even IF they chased after me yelling 'stop! stop!', they didn't bother recovering them...
Huh?
Some peoplecollect stamps, others collect coins.
Some collect motorcycles, still others collect cars.
Some even collect houses...
I collect golf balls.
It started off good...bad news the central air quit. AC guy says I need a new unit. You are hard pressed in Memphis to do with out one, our heat is a muggy heat. OUCH.
Thanks for stopping by. : )
This is better but they really whine when you use it..
Amen!
I wanna go there!!
I think your right!
We have watched Brave Heart 100 times, the whole family shuts right up and it captures their attention.
One of , if not his best movie..
OH yes, they scream and stamp their feet when that gets pulled out..
That is a great picture, I saw it on Enduring Freedom thread.
Thank you for bringing it over.
I used to use it in the 70's for roaches...
hehe!
It's about that time folks-- so thought I'd send out this reminder!!!! OK, mosquitos... prepare to be repelled!!!!!
Use Bounce Fabric Softener Sheets... Best thing ever used in Louisiana... Just wipe on & go...Great for Babies
Bob, a fisherman, takes one vitamin B-1 tablet a day -- April through October. He said it works - hasn't had a mosquito bite in 33 years. Every one he has talked into trying it says works! Vitamin B-1 (Thiamin Hydrochloride 100 mg.)
If you eat bananas, the mosquitos like you, something about the banana oil as your body processes it. Stop eating bananas for the summer and the mosquitos will be much less interested.
This is going to floor you, but one of the best insect repellents someone found (who is in the woods every day), is Vick's Vaporub.
Plant marigolds around the yard, the flowers give off a smell that bugs do not like, so plant some in that garden also to help ward off bugs without using insecticides.
"Tough guy" Marines who spend a great deal of time "camping out" say that the very best mosquito repellent you can use is Avon Skin-So-Soft bath oil mixed about half and half with alcohol.
Another of the reported natural insect repellents discovered is real vanilla. It works for mosquitoes and ticks --- and you'll smell delicious besides.
If all else fails--get a frog...
Thank you again, Rus, for our Military Mondays, where we can honor and thank those who have served our country, and those now serving.
That is a most wonderful photograph, Miss Kitty! Thank you for bringing it to us!
I love it! Good for Aladdin - what refreshing and surprising news from Vegas!
