This is a re-post - lest we forget and what must be told about our President Bush - read it carefully and see why the Democrats are fighting back so hard to regain power - from unions to the environmentalists to the United Nations – President Bush has acted for America and Americans. Please pass this on.

Presidency of George W. Bush -- the first 35 months

· Banned Partial Birth Abortion
· Reversed Clinton's move to strike Reagan's anti-abortion Mexico Policy
· Killed the Kyoto Global Warming Treaty
· Killed U.S. involvement in the International Criminal Court
· Killed Clinton's CO2 rules that were choking off all of the electricity surplus to California.
· Killed Clinton's "ergonomic" rules that OSHA was about to implement; rules that would have shut down every home business in America.
· Killed the U.S. - CCCP ABM Treaty that was preventing the U.S. from deploying our ABM defenses
· Has CONSTRUCTION in process on the first ten ABM silos in Alaska so that America has a defense against North Korean nukes
· Pushed through THREE raises for our military.
· Increased Defense Dept funding which had deteriorated during the previous 8 years
· Stopped foreign aid that would be used to fund abortions.
· Supported and upheld the ban on abortions at military hospitals
· Signed E.O. reversing Clinton's policy of not requiring parental consent for abortions under the Medical Privacy Act
· Signed TWO bills into law that arm our pilots with handguns in the cockpit
· Currently pushing for full immunity from lawsuits for our national gun manufacturers
· Ordered Attorney-General Ashcroft to formally notify the Supreme Court that the OFFICIAL U.S. government position on the 2nd Amendment is that it supports INDIVIDUAL rights to own firearms, NOT a leftist-imagined *collective* right
· Told the United Nations we weren't interested in their plans for gun control (i.e. the International Ban on Small Arms Trafficking Treaty)
· Successfully executed 2 wars: Afghanistan and Iraq. 50 million people who had lived under tyrannical regimes now live in freedom
· Executed a WAR ON TERROR by getting world-wide cooperation to track funds/terrorists (has cut off much of the terrorist's funding and captured or killed many key leaders of the al Qaeda network)
· The capture of Saddam Hussian
· Brought back our EP-3 intel plane and crew from China without any bribes or bloodshed
· Started withdrawing our troops from Bosnia and has announced withdrawal of our troops from Germany and the Korean DMZ.
· Signed the LARGEST nuclear arms reduction in world history with Russia
· Initiated comprehensive review of our military, which was completed just prior to 9/11/01, accurately reported that ASYMMETRICAL WARFARE was critical.
· Changed the tone in the White House, restoring HONOR and DIGNITY to the Presidency
· Reorganized bureaucracy...after 9/11, condensed 20+ overlapping agencies and their intelligence sectors into one agency: the Department of Homeland Security.
· Initiated discussion on privatizing Social Security and individual investment accounts.
· Improving govt. efficiency with .8 million jobs put up for bid...weakening unions and cutting undeserved pay raises. Wants merit based promotions/raises only.
· Orchestrated Republican control of the White House, the House AND the Senate.
· Killed the liberal ABA's role in vetting federal judges for Congress.
· GWB signed an executive order enforcing the Supreme Court's Beck decision (re: union dues being used for political campaigns against individual's wishes)
· Turned around an inherited economy that was in recession.
· Passed tough new laws to hold corporate criminals to account as a result of corporate scandals.
· Signed 2 income tax cuts ---- 1 of which was the largest Dollar value tax cut in world history.
· Reduced taxes on dividends and capital gains
· In process of eliminating IRS marriage penalty.
· Increased small business incentives to expand and to hire new people
· Signed into law the No Child Left Behind legislation delivering the most dramatic education reforms in a generation (challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations)
· Reorganized the INS in an attempt to safeguard the borders and ports of America and to eliminate bureaucratic redundancies and lack of accountability.
· Signed trade promotion authority
· Committed US funds to purchase medicine for millions of men and women and children now suffering with AIDS in Africa.
· Passed Medicare Reform (authorized $39.5 Billion per year for preventive medicine such as drugs and doctor visits as well as included a ten year Privatization option)
· Urging federal liability reform to eliminate frivolous lawsuits
· Supports class action reform bill which limits lawyer fees so that more settlement money goes to victims
· Submitted comprehensive Energy Plan--awaits Congressional action (works to develop cleaner technology, produce more natural gas here at home, make America less dependent on foreign sources of energy, improve national grid, etc.)
· Endorses and promotes The Responsibility Era
· Started the USA Freedom Corps
· Initiated review of all federal agencies with a goal to eliminate federal jobs (completed September 2003) in an effort to reduce the size of federal gov while increasing private sector jobs.
· Part of coalition (Russia, Israel, EU, Palestine, USA) for Israeli/Palestinian "Roadmap to Peace"
· Challenged the United Nations to live up to their responsibilities and not become The League of Nations ( in other words, completely irrelevant)
· Nominated strong, conservative judges to the judiciary.
· Changed parts of the Forestry Management Act to allow necessary clean-up of the national forests in order to reduce fire danger. br> · As part of the national forests clean-up, the President restricted judicial challenges (based on the Endangered Species Act and other challenges) and removed the need for an EIS (Environmental Impact Statement) before removing fuels/logging to reduce fire danger.
· Significantly eased field-testing controls of genetically engineered crops.
· President Bush signed the workplace verification bill to prevent hiring of illegal Aliens S. 1685, the Basic Pilot Extension Act of 2003, was signed by President Bush on December 3, 2003. It extends for five years the workplace employment eligibility authorization pilot programs created in 1996. It expands the pilot programs from the original five states to all 50 states.

"More troubling has been the way the war against Iraq was sold to the world. There was a strong humanitarian case to be made, as well as prosecuting an act of war (the assassination attempt). We had every reason to believe he might be hiding weapons. There was no need to try to decieve the public, "honorable lies" be damned."

There were no lies made to sell the war.

"One thing you've said troubles me. "Changed the tone and restored honor and dignity"? No. There has been no effort to heal the deep divisions that threaten to tear our country apart."

Incorrect. As far as "effort" goes, President Bush has invited each Democrat in Congress to the White House for individual talks. He has also watched movies with Senator Kennedy and worked with him to craft the bi-partisan "No Child Left Behind" legislation.

No. There has been no effort to heal the deep divisions that threaten to tear our country apart.

Those who have cut themselves off from the heart of America can either atrophy and die, or quietly return with circumspect apologies. I would welcome the few reasonable Democrats left to join us in a bipartisan effort to crush terrorism. For those of you who pander after Moore, Chomsky, Nader, Couric, Sontag, and McDermott: don't let the screen door hit you on the backside because we don't mind if you leave and never come back.

And mistakes or not, if you're not thrilled that Saddam Hussein is sitting behind bars waiting for justice, maybe you should choose Iran or North Korea as your destination.

The rest of us are only too happy that Saddam is gone. Join us -- or not. History is on our side, though. Try to keep up, or just get out of the way.

"There were no lies made to sell the war."

Friday at our local market, a loud mouth lib was pushing the line that GW lied to start the war with Iraq.

I said, "No, all he did was read the thousands of reports by the Clintoon Administration which said that $oddomite had WMDs and must be stopped from using them!"

The lib said that was a lie.

My response, "Will you donate a $100 to the Re Elect GW/Cheney campaign for every article and documentation that I can find showing from Clintoon on down stating that $oddom had WMDs and would use them!"

It just glared and slithered away.

We will gladly buy them a one way ticket to Iran or N Korea or even Syria.

"Ties between Saddam and 9/11 were hinted at, despite no evidece to support such a conclusion."

No, not ties to 9/11 per se, but rather, ties between al qaeda and Iraq were mentioned. That's not a subtle difference. Abu Nidal was in a Baghdad hospital, Ansar al-Islam operated in Iraq's northern regions, Zarqawi was likewise in Iraq (we intercepted his letter to Osama), convicted Palestinian terrorist Abu Abbas was captured in Iraq on 4/15/03 during our invasion, the terrorist Ahmed Walid Raguib al-Baz - a 1st Lieutenant in the Palestine Liberation Front - was killed in Iraq during our invasion on 3/20/03, Abu Nidal terrorist Khala Khadr Al-Salahat was captured in Iraq on 4/18/03, and the indicted fugitive from 1993 WTC bombing - with a $25 Million reward on his head - Abdul Rahman Yasin - was likewise seen in Iraq.

"It made us look like we had something to hide, and gave Germany and France's leaders good press."

If France and Germany's leaders get such "good press," then please explain why Chirac and Schroeder have national popularity ratings there below 30%.

It's so annoying to hear anti-war (after 9/11!?), gun grabbing, war memorial destroying (Cima road Mojave WW1 cross), marriage redefining by fiat, anti-religious, pro-communist, pro-racist leftists complaining about our President's inability to heal the country. For those who wanted healing, we found it. He's not a king and he isn't a diety; he can't reach down and meld us back together. To heal, we need to get back to what has always brought us together before: love of freedom, the land, and this country itself. Those who hate any of those three things -- any one of them! -- will never heal. We're not responsible for their sickness.

Southack, your review is sooooo much better than mine and more up to date. Thanks - have printed it out and sent it out to my list and the local Republican Headquarters. These are the points that President Bush should be talking about at every stop!

What credibility has Sistani lost in Iraq?

Be specific.

"As a result of that,(and a poorly planned foreign policy attacked by such far left liberals as Sen Lugar, George Bush sr, and George Will) we lost much of the support we had after 9/11."

Nonsense. Pakistan joined us *after* 9/11. Libya disarmed *after* we captured Saddam Hussein.

I hope you understand, for the rest of us, that's not good enough.

I don't know who "the rest of us" is to you, but here, at this forum, "the rest of us" are conservatives who support this president 97 percent!

BTW, you can't "change the tone" when the other sides hopes for the death of young Americans so that they can take back the White House.

BTW, there is no such person as "George Bush Sr."

No ties between Iraq and AQ despite no evidence to support that conclusion? What planet do you live on?

#1. The Clinton administration obtained an indictment against OBL in 1997 which cited the terrorists connections to Iraq and their agreement to work together, particularly on weapons development.

#2. The Senate Intelligen Report devotes over 60 pages to the Iraqi regime's connections to terrorism, Al Qaeda specifically.

#3. In that Report, it is shown that AQ received weapons training from Iraq for over 10 years including training on chemical, biological and nuclear training.

#4. The 9/11 Commission Co-Chairmen have publicly discussed in the last month that a senior Iraqi Fedayeen soldier was present during at least one pre-9/11 planning meeting.

#5. Too many specifics to mention. AQ terrorist names are mentioned in BOTH reports (9/11 Commission and Senate Intelligence Report) as being in Iraq pre 9/11 and working collaboratively on weapons development and other matters.
