Probably not, FR is always evolving.

Well, there's no technical reason not to ferment fruit flies. Behind their little carapaces are oodles of scrumptions complex carbohydrates just waiting to be turned into nutricious beer. Some of the Belgian monastery beers have floor sweepings in them. Gives 'em character.
The problem is collecting enough of the little buggers to make a five-gallon batch. You can extend the mash with other stuff - Budweiser puts rice in theirs - but if I try sneaking a few cockroaches into the mix Big Ern will take his nightstick upside my head again.

Jim. So let it be written, so let it be done.

I've got 4 80 gallon compost bins that are too wet. How many fruit flies do you need?

We have a big earwig problem this year. Let me know, I'll get a couple of cheeseheads over for a roundup. I'll bet a couple of those buggers will make a heavier beer.

I tried clicking on it, but nothing happens.

I just got a threatening letter from a couple of major breweries - I don't think we're going to do an insect beer. They've already patented the process for their "low-carb" products.
I guess you stick "Low-carb" on the label and the rubes will consume just about anything...
To: Billthedrill
I haven't seen an Atkins beer, would this qualify? Low carb is the latest craze, but, if you can get all the Atkins people to buy your Atkins bug beer (ABB). Think of the possibilities. (You could even market it over on DUh) Can I get a heads up a week or so before you offer an IPO? I won't tell the feds or others, promise. Maybe we can get martha to invest a couple bucks.
