According to the 7/14/04 Foxnews.com website, there were six RINOs voting no on the constitutional amendment to unhold the traditional concept of marriage between one man and one woman: Senators Campbell, Chafee, McCain, Snowe, and Sununu. What a shame!!

Really? I expected to actually read this writers variety of reasons why civil unions are wrong and got fluff instead. Stating the obvious and already known facts doesn't accomplish much.

Yep, in the Miami Herald.

Unfortunately, however, it was followed immediately by this:

Keep bigotry out of the Constitution

Still, it was encouraging to see Miss Lafferty's excellent article.

What is there that cannot be provided by personal service contracts and durable power of attorney under existing law?

"What is there that cannot be provided by personal service contracts and durable power of attorney under existing law?"

- Providing legal sanction via a supposedly representative government for a 'lifestyle' that is chosen by a small minority.
- Forcing the rest of the population to support behavior that they may or may not consider to be right/healthy/defensible/etc.

I used to have a live-and-let-live attitude toward homosexuals until it became clear that they do not have such a mindset toward those who disagree -- they are Leftists to the core, after all.
